One more time folks, it only takes 1 second to not be "anon". Just click "name/URL", type in any old name and then enter, and PRESTO, you matter

Anon's are gutless and lazy. Anon's make it impossible to track a conversation or give someone credit for something smart (or visa versa).

You don't need to register with google. If you're too lazy to click "name/URL" then at least sign your post in the body, like this:

- stupid guy

Something like that. See - that was easy.

I allow anon's because I like the conversation. But it's trying my patience.

If you want to matter, don't be anon. Make up any old name. Matter.

Orrrrrrrr......Anon's want to simply be...Anonymous! Just like Google/Blogger designed it to be.

When Keith can foster an environment where I can label myself then I will. Till then I am just playing by YOUR rules. If you wanna "roast and toast me" then I am not going to make it easy for you...but see?...that was what you did.

You have got a bunch of sharks here not willing to engage in meaningful discourse with a contrary voice so i don't feel much love from you Keith.

The thing is: If you would moderate these posts better then maybe there would a true dialogue on important subjects that I DO admit you are offering to us to discuss. You do deserve kudos for that.

If you wanna create a blood bath then I gotta start with blood to even post here--which unfortunately, I have been forced to do. If you wanna create a " Hell Ya' Dude! YOU are SO RIGHT'" mentality then that is lame and I can waste my time elsewhere.

I like the topic--I respect the contrast you provide-- but let's TALK-- not just trade FUCK words.

Ya' know?

I am not sure that it is a good idea to call all but 10 or 12 regular posters here stupid and lazy, and why does typing a make believe name in the box make anyone accountable or make them "matter"??? This is a blog for opinions right?

Opinions are like assholes and they are all called anonymous.

Can't you block anons? Everybody would have to make up their name under Name/URL and, hopefully, sticks with one choice.

Disagree all you want here - just sign your posts

I HATE blogs that censor all disagreeing points. thehousingbubbleblog and bloodhoundblog are two perfect examples of that - run by paranoids who want no dissenting opinions. But what they end up with is boring unreadable blogs

JaneZ - I have no idea if it's "10 or 12 regular posters" or just one. If everyone is 'anon' then we have no idea who's talking

Just sign the post - be anon, just sign the post

It's spelled vice versa, not visa versa. And pronounced vais vuhsa, not vaisi vuhsa.

Keith is right. When almost everybody posts as anon, it dilutes the quality of the discussion. Get a handle.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Keith on this. Truth is I was signing anonymous because I couldn't figure out how to leave a moniker. Now I know.

I'd be happy to login even if Kevin would just let the comment post. One thing that that keeps me from posting on this site more often is that I have to wait hours for my comments to post.

Start banning IPs if people step out of line.

Every time you try to eliminate anons and use name only.....you drop responses by 60%!

Now what fun is that?

I'll never ban anons - again, I like to see people mix it up and good strong opinions even when I disagree - but I think the blog reads better when people put some identifier with their post so we know who's who

I especially hate the "I told you so" or "mark my words" posts done by an anon. If someone wants credit they need a handle.

I think anon's are just lazy, or didn't know how to click the name/url thing and type something in

And yes, HP has to have moderation otherwise the anti-jewish and illegal threat crap gets out of control. Lot of angry people out there (hint - lots of screwed realtors and homedebtors out there)

Actually, Keith, I hadn't given the subject much thought.

OK, if you like, I'll take a name.

All the Las Cruces posts, that was me.

And thanks for the blog.

Have you ever thought most folks can't handle a direct rebuttle so they go anon (like me). I will try to use a name when I am less controversial and more main stream. My feelings would not be hurt as much as if I sign my name and have people call me all sorts of idiots directly. At least on this site you don't have to enter an email address or any type of identifier like every other web page. So much for free speech there (wherever)they want to know who you are in case they need to send the secret service or fbi to your house or library. LOL Sorry I will only use a name if I use a sentence response and usually that is never. TA TA.

in general, i agree with keith, people should get a moniker. however, i do see situations where it may make sense to post as anon. i also think that people, if they want to remain anon, should be able to do that. unfortunately, by allowing this you get the crackpots posting and spoiling the blog sometimes. that means, keith, you need to review the anon posts so this blog doesn't go down a toilet. there have been times where i've said i'm not coming back anymore because of the racist and hateful crap i see periodically.

there, happy?

F off. Anons are the bomb. Y'all bitches just can't handle the truth. Focus on what's being written, not by whom.
