Yup, that's the kind of easy money that's gonna attract a lot of ex-realtors and mortgage brokers.
Few Jobs Available for Unemployed Mortgage Brokers
It's not easy being a former mortgage broker.
With thousands of layoffs in the county, and more to come, it's safe to say that finding a job in the home lending industry is a thing of the past for now.
A year ago, brokers were clamoring over one another for business, leaving automated messages on voicemails and promising even those with the worst credit scores that they could have their own homes.
Today they seem to be in hiding.
And the alternatives for employment are just as limiting. With no growth forecasted for county jobs, even a career change could prove challenging.

That said I hope they throw the book at him. Not for wanting fresh flesh. That would make any man happy. But for making a career crucifying men who did exactly what he did. I am not a mortgage broker, but work for a big lender and still do. Tried calling a few of the bigger recruiting firms to get my resume out there--just to see what was available--and guess what??
The lady told me they have had SO many mortgage people swamping them for jobs, that they cant even get to them all.
Companies are even beginning to black ball anyone coming from a lender, which SUCKS!!
There were bad people out there, but a lot more good ones, and great sales people and they too, are being lumped in with the bad.

Is right, recruiters and even temp services are turning away former mortgage people.
It's a shame-- when I first got into the lending business 19 years ago a Loan Officer was a prestigous position and held in high regard. Then all the slimeballs flooded in during the Gold Rush and ruined the profession. Just out to make a quick buck; not looking to build a business.

Honestly guys, but in other 1st world nations, like Australia, Canada, NZ, Germany, and Holland, where outcalls are legally above the counter, the most she'd command is $400-$500 per hr, not $5K. That $5K would be like an all-inclusive dinner with a perfect supermodel, Claudia Scieffer looking (but from ten years ago). There's no reason for a rich man to sow his oats in this country anymore, outside of the Nevada desert.

I'm a hiring mgr and I would not hire a mortgage lender or anyone from the housing industry. I'm sure a lot of people feel like I do.
My suggestion to them: take it off your resume and say you were unemployed for that period of time. That's a better story to tell than to admit you were part of the biggest financial disaster in world history.

I would not hire any management from places like New Century, American Home Mortgage, IndyCrack, CountryFried, or any of the other sleazy lenders. I once turned down a higher paying job because the company trying to hire me had a bad reputation as a sleazy lender. I didn't want to be associated with them when the Feds raid the office.
BTW - I work close to a major CountryFried office, and all I see are fat ghetto queens who can barely speak English. I don't know what they do there, but if those are the people they are hiring, they are doomed.

There are 150 versions of her at any nightclub in any city on any given Friday night. All it would take is $50 in girlie drinks.

Having been to the aforementioned countries, I'd say more like $250/hr, perhaps $300 up in Canada (outside of the French sectors where she'd be considered average, at most), since they tend to follow US practices.
I'd say the biggest surprise, to anyone living abroad, is her NYC rate of $5K/hr. No one I know would believe it, esp in societies where this stuff is essentially legal. The former gov could have had chartered flights to Amsterdam and been living high (private catering included), if he's willing to depart with that much cash for a night on the town.
Honestly she is not that pretty. She looks old for her age, plus she has that hard/been-around-the-block too many times look. Their agency was offering 2nd or 3rd tier porno wannabees rather than crème de la crème courtesans. Client No. 9 got ripped off. LOL
