Pimp Daddy National Association of Homebuilders stops paying its bitches on Captiol Hill

(I know this is a bit harsh, but it is what it is. Look away if you don't want to be offended...)

The NAHB expects its bitches in Congress to get out there every day and whore themselves out. Nobody gets a day off! The NAHB pays for PERFORMANCE! These bitches need to know they work for the MAN!

The builders want ACTION! We're talking government builder bailouts, we're talking NO PROSECUTION of any of the insider-trader builders, we're talking massive government intervention, we're talking taking ALL restrictions off of Fannie and Freddie, and we're talking direct cash payments to the builders themselves if need be! Whatever the builders want, that's what the builders will GET, dammit!

And if Congress doesn't step it up, then the bitches ain't gettin' paid!!! And that's the facts Jack!

Statement From NAHB President Brian Catalde

“Today, the National Association of Home Builders’ Political Action Committee, BUILD-PAC, and its 150-member Board of Trustees representing all 50 states, agreed to cease all approvals and disbursements of BUILD-PAC contributions to federal congressional candidates and their PACs until further notice.

This extraordinary action was taken because the NAHB BUILD-PAC Board of Trustees felt that over the past six months Congress and the Administration have not adequately addressed the underlying economic issues that would help to stabilize the housing sector and keep the economy moving forward.

Housing and related industries account for more than 16 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. More needs to be done to jump-start housing and ensure the economy does not fall into a recession. This action will remain in effect until further notice.

Ahhhhh...Let there be no doubt why people despise these crybaby crooks who fly high when times are good and they make billions but immediately start complaining when the cash cow dies and then demand that the taxpayers keep them up. Real Estate is a sleezy business starting with the Realtor who has no $$$ of their own involved in the deal but skim 6% of the sale...just sick.

I thank the brainless builders
for putting purchased government
in banner headlines.

When I digest their words, I
hear ... "To the polls!".

Saw this in the news yesterday and was wondering when it would appear on HP.

Sounds like a case of:
"If you're not going to play the game the way that I want to play it, then I'll just take my ball and go home."

A clear, obvious example of why reform of special interest contributions is necessary.

This is a good start. NAHB and all other businesses should be banned from bribing Congress.

Bitch better have my money.

Like a pouty little children, the NAHB is picking up thier toys and going home. Now if the NAR would only follow thier lead.

Probably a smart strategy by the NAHB. The average politician is, pound for pound, as greedy and stupid as some of the NAHB members have been over the past few years. Cut off from thier fat contributions, I would imagine some congress members will be proposing more bailout bills in the very near future. It is an election year after all.

I cannot imagine builders continuing to build homes as in the past. The entire country is saturated with thousands of empty houses, and that will forever be the situation. The only new houses that should be built are spec houses where the owner has a house built on his or her lot. Look at Las Vegas, for example: thousands of empty houses that no one wants - a complete waste of land and precious resources!

Sounds to me like they just ran out of money and, as usual, they lie through their teeth about the real reason.

"wow...some actual good news."

remember that our politics are based on "political theater." the worst outcome is that congress is accused of help those who helped them. I'm sure that politicians know full well that good deeds are rewarded!

No wonder Hilary's campaign is going bankrupt.

I can hear it now from our favorite congress and senate people. "While we believe strongly in the need for free market forces to be allowed to deal with this kind of situation, the real estate credit crisis is just too important to allow it to continue without intervention. We are not proposing a government bail out. We will simply guarantee that the full faith and credit of the federal government is behind the mortgage insurers. This will not cost the American taxpayer a thing. Once this mere failure of confidence passes the real estate market will be restored to full health and the U.S. economy will re-enter a period of strong, sustained growth."

If you, the taxpayer, have any sense and historical perspective you can see another "savings and loan bailout" coming, only this time it will be on steroids. The potential losses for the MI industry may run into the high hundreds of billions if not the low TRILLION range. You will live a more taxed, lower standard of living for the remainder of your life. You will do this so the lying, cheating mortgage brokers, realtors, bankers, "investment specialists" who made billions inventing these "CDO sliced-and diced-wonder-tranches-of-mortgage-debt" and speculators can enjoy the offshore-banked fruits of their "efforts". DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN!! This has the potential to be the biggest governmental welfare program in history, mainly to bail out the greediest scum of the world.

With all the taxation and falling wages, there is no way the US population will keep growing. The builders need to realize that and start building fewer and smaller homes. Even if the 30 million illegals are given amnesty, they won't be able to afford those $500,000 houses the builders are slapping up. Houses have become commodities, just like hardware in the IT industry back in 2000. Most of those companies that made PC's and laptops are out of business or on their last legs now. Packard Bell, eMachines, Gateway, IBM, AlienWare, Compaq, NEC and thousands of mom-and-pop PC stores have all closed their doors or been sold off. It's down to Dell, HP, and Sony. The housing industry will contract in a similar way. We will probably end up with 3-4 national builders and a few local private builders who do specialized jobs by the time this mess plays out.

I see you brought your "A" game today, Keith.

Really Funny S#!t!

Keep it up!

Keefer,
Loved your picture of the pimp-daddy. That's what i call styyyyle!

There's only one thing I despise more than a real estate agent and that is a mega-corp homebuilder. These cats come in and flood the local markets with shit-boxes they call homes. The population doubles because the illegals move in. Then the mega-builders leave their shit-box houses to fall apart in a few years, like they're doing right now. BUT, the illegals, they don't leave. They stay behind to collect welfare, overrun the school systems, hospitals and anything else that they can drain the local taxpayer out of.
HEY NAHB, Take your sorry asses back to your offices, and either play scrabble on your computers or get a job alongside the illegal aliens that your builders allow on their jobs. See how loyal the illegals will be when the jobs start getting more scarce. YOUR ass will be out on the street, and your illegals will still have work. BWAHAHAHA
BTW, I hope it happens TODAY to you sorry ass bunch of illegal alien lovers.

Even if the 30 million illegals are given amnesty<<

this cannot and will not happen. you do that, and it is the last straw. it will be time to gear up and move out........

Keith, this is one rare time when you aren't being harsh. You are objectively telling it like it is. This is great news that this PAC feels threatened, which means our Congress is doing what they are supposed to do. Wonderful. The PAC needs to save their money for RAMEN NOODLES anyway.

Maybe it's a good time to pick up some bargain-priced lawmakers.

The builders helped create this housing/mortgage debacle. They were in on fraudulently or at least exaggerated appraisals. They opened in-house mortgage co's and some have been, or are being, investigated and fined millions for violation of lending laws. The builders sold buyers on this "Dream of Homeownership" fantasy, with toxic loans, on houses they could not afford, approved by their own lenders. Now the investors who bought those crappy loans are mad. They are mad at the originators of the loans as well as ratings agencies that rated them as good investments. Obviously a lot of industry insiders failed to "do their homework," which the lowest consumer is expected to do. These insiders knowingly committed fraud in some cases.

All the while, law enforcement told consumers who complained YEARS AGO that it was "civil--get a lawyer and sue." Lawyers didn't want unprofitable cases. Arbitration clauses prevented suing in many cases. BUT, when banks and investors screamed, suddenly this was "fraud" and the govt and law enforcement took notice.

NOW, the builders want a bailout. They are playing the victim along with other industry insiders who have no excuse of ignorance or innocence. Excepting those who were actually defrauded, many buyers also were greedy and stupid or even complicit in fraud. But at least many of them can claim ignorance somewhat. The industry cannot. And therefore the industry deserves NOTHING but to wallow in it's own failure, the same as any consumer would be expected to do if they'd committed the same deeds.

What is more unfortunate is the fact that housing IS 16% of GDP. What ever happened to REAL JOBS. You know, productive jobs that people were proud to do. Jobs that actually MADE something. It would be really nice if housing was 2% of GDP and we had people buying houses because they had GOOD JOBS and needed a nice home to live in. Oh well, I guess I am asking too much for now.
