HP dedicates this song to the 1.3 million ramen eating realtors of America.

Don't worry six-percenters. It'll get better soon. 2012 is looking good.

Your personal recovery starts the day you stop paying your dues to the NAR. And it continues when you go to monster.com and start searching for a real job.

Life's to short to screw people for a living. Life's too short to be a realtor. And life's definitely too short to eat ramen every night.

Bon Appetite!

The realtors at the firm where my girlfriend worked for a short time:

- Pay dues to the NAR
- Pay dues to the state version of NAR
- Required to pay $1,000/month for "sales coaching"

They can't even afford RAMEN anymore!!

I've eaten my share of these brick-o-food in my life.

There are only so many ways you can spruce these up.

Oh, the bad old days.

That tax rebate can keep people fed on Ramen noodles for a decade. That's 8,000 packs of Ramen noodles at the sales price. I guess the die-off will be postponed.

I have one point to make. I am sick of hearing about people losing their homes. I have to ask, "what home???" These people had mortgages, not homes. They were simply living in a borrowed thing. People are losing homes, they are defaulting on mortgages. They never owned the home.

So what's the next big chunk of news to fall? Spring home buying season is creeping up and will have FED rates of 2.0 to 2.5. Is a bottom possibly in sight?

Hilarious. I love the internet! Thank you housing panic for torturing the realtors I hate.

That is too funny! Ramen is delicious, though (even though it's cheap as dirt).

Truth is stranger than fiction

Consider the real knock on effects of MBIA/AMBAC failure. The triggers unleashed by their failure will open pandoras box.

We are so screwed.

You also might want to find out more about the history of BIS. It is rather colorful.. to say the least.

Just in my little area there were 12 homes taken back by the bank in 01/07. Last month there were 72.
Of the three REO's I sold in the last month the amount the bank got back (not taking into account there closing cost) were 35% off the amount of the judgments. One was 61%..and so far this year over 300 new foreclosure cases filed on my side of the county.
Bottom possibly in sight?
Not even close.

Marie Antoinette said it best about the real estate agents:

Let them eat cake.

She was (more than) a wee bit ahead of her time. Now estate agents ate in the same league as tobacco lobbyists. And don't forget the inventor of the adjustable rate mortgage that gave us this mess.

Fun fact: On the commodities futures markets, sugar costs a dime a pound. One needs only eat one pound of sugar to get the 2,000 calories a day and drop a hit of a multivitamin each day and not starve. Yes, you could survive indefinitely on less than a buck a day. Just the thing for real estate agents to keep in mind.

It is amazing that the real estate market is SO BAD, and yet there are obviously still many incompetant realtors in the real estate business.

I have been looking at houses and condos at realtor.net or realtor.com or whatever it is, and it is amazing that so few of the realtors take advantage of the website's full capability of posting dozens of pictures of the house as well as giving a detailed verbal description. I even saw one condo listed as having a square footage of "15X,XXX square feet," and I checked back a couple of weeks later, and that ridiculous mistake was still there. Some of these people are apparently illiterate. They sure don't proofread their work.

In a very tough market, over half the listings are poorly put together. It doesn't speak well of the profession.
