Economically, they're quite smart, but in terms of what's really important (understanding what's in the bible, accepting Christ and what it all really means), they are totally ignorant. It's sad actually. Funny how the way the bible was written strikes arrogant people. It was intended. God hates arrogance. A well known bible prophecy scholar paraphrased what Christ said when asked why he spoke in parables. It's so the damned don't get it.

Do a little research online people on the subject of bible prophecy. Do you know how close we are to the end.

Mock this post. I'm just doing my part, but you'll have eternity in a bad place to contemplate your unwillingness to accept what over a Billion in the world already know and understand.

tomorrow's question should be:

are HPers good people or are they bad people.

Come on qweefer, your questions are getting lamer by the day.

Patriotic is what the elite gobalist says it is. HPers should buy a house right now if they want to be patriotic. The bankers and uncle sam have spoken.

Patriotic thought leaders

Our forefathers were subversive according to the British monarchy. That's pretty good company for me. The GOP and the "patriotic" hicks on that side are no better than communist propagandists or the fascists that the "Greatest Generation" saved us from.

How about self-important blowhards who once served a useful purpose but are now totally redundant?

The un-American subversives are on K-Street and Wall Street. We are the patriots warning the public about the economic dangers, like Paul Revere riding through the night.

By we, I don't mean the nutjob socialists and communists like bitteridiot who claim that we should give communism a try since the USSR and the Eastern Bloc weren't really Communist.

Anonymous said...

Count me as a whacko socialist nihilist. I'm enjoying seeing capitalism take it in the shorts.

I believe most people here to be jealous conservatives who didn't get in the real estate market before the bubble and now feel shut out. If they had, they would be celebrating their good fortune and supporting a bailout to maintain their investment value. They'd be the loudest voices calling the rest of us "losers" but instead they're considered losers themselves. That must drive them nuts.

Then there's the people who, for whatever reason, sold right before the huge rise and now they're still kicking themselves for not waiting and who will also be shut out unless the market crashes.

I don't think there's more than a handful of people who see the bubble as a detriment to the stability of the society. Who decry the greed, shallowness and pathological materialism of this bubble. Who see it as a symptom of a greed-soaked, anti-human economic system.

No, this blog, Patrick, and all the others are not motivated by altruism but by envy. They're not concerned about the lack of affordability in housing just with their own situation, having missed the boat or jumped off at the wrong time.

more American than Hank Paulson. Why has there not been a call for him to resign.... huge conflict of interest with him being one of the largest owners of Goldman's Sachs stock.

Probably a bit of both - at our core, most of us want houses to be places where people live, not an ATM Machine. . .we would love a world where a school teacher could buy a reasonable nice house in the city where they teach (ok, maybe not Beverly Hills). . .we would like an America which isn't one large gambling casino (lottery lifestyles, stock market schemes, etc. etc.), and one that respects hard work and solid SLOW investments (think utilities, and real companies that make something). . .so I suppose this is VERY subversive, as it would bring the consumer economy to a standstill.

$15,000 credit for buying a home in 2008 has been proposed in the senate, sadly by my very own senator Johnie Isakson from Georgia.

I posted the details on my blog.

I suggest you email your senators and let them know what an awful idea this is.

Such as the arrogance to decide who god hates?

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men ... But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou has shut thy door, pray to they Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."

No, they just start other wars where you have hundreds of millions murdered like:

World War 1
World War 11
Vietnam killing fields,
etc. etc. list goes on...

Hitler
Stalin
Pol Pot
Mao Zedong

The wars and genocides that they perpetrated were militantly atheistic. Get off your high horse, Rom. Not every atheist is a harmless hippie loser like John Lennon.

I read somehwere: He had to sell all of it when becoming secretary, to avoid conflict of interest. Because he had to sell, however, he didn't pay taxes on gains etc. that were otherwise due to him selling.

In a recent testimony before a congressional committee, Bernanke said as long as "inflation expectations" remain in check, inflation will remain low.

So, does that make HP folks economic terrorists?

You are either with us or against us...

Anonymous said...

Both. F*ck this Corporate Fascist regime and American imperialism around the world. No more CIA puppet regimes to transfer taxpayer money to the shady group. Helloooo, Israel!

Obama should open Area 51 with a TV crew on the first day and make all the UFO files available for download over the "internets". Then he'll get my respect. Now, that's a revolution.

Anonymous said...

Why is it that religious nuts (who usually don't even know their own "holy" books that well) twist it all to support whatever dumbass idea they are shilling? It clear from the NT that Jesus was a commie, hated wealth, and spat at authority continuously. So why are modern chrizealots obsessed with toking the party line, materialism, and social status?

Anonymous said...

good one rom!

Anonymous said...

Good question.

I see left wing , right wing, and no wings here. Even though I think Obama is a Muslim waiting to give away Berkley ( which I am not against ) I still read this every day even after the website said he is the man. Regardless, I like to see that the folks here have minds of their own. Because what a Patriot is basically is someone that keeps alive the ability for us to speak our mind. Some actually protect that freedom while others use it and do nothing. Then you have the con artist that got is in this mess that are of all wings too I am sure.

So to all you subversives, wacko gun loving right wing nut jobs, to the whining liberal left wing whimps, and to those that have no idea keep up the good work.

AIRBORNE - Death from Above!!!

HPers are:

Patriotic un-Average-American thought leading subversives.

And that's a good thing.

Anonymous said...

rom, so how many instances of incest, rape, and racial arrogance are there in the bible? I don't think you've read it. I remember maybe 5 tales of incest; if that's all it takes to shake you up you are pretty weak.

That said, atheists are indeed involved in a holy war. The war to abolish all religion from the face of the earth. The only difference is atheists claim no religion, when in fact no religion is a religion unto itself.

Hope I didn't lose you...

Anonymous said...

"Atheists don't start holy wars."

You're right, but between Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot they did organize the slaughter of about 100 million innocent people in the 20th Century.

"$15,000 credit for buying a home in 2008 has been proposed in the senate, sadly by my very own senator Johnie Isakson from Georgia."

it's another shot at a stupid idea because, believe me folks, the only way someone is going to buy a home is if the price is cut; will the banks be willing?

Anonymous said...

(Lenin), Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Pol Pot, plus the two Kims of North Korea, were not atheists. They all tried to establish a state religion of worshipping the leader . . . "Fuererprincip." It was back to the ancient Egyption days: the Pharoh was the living god, in a polytheistic univers . . . all before Moses/Akhahten reformed the religion, before the 12-Apostles reformed again, followed by Mahammed, Martin Luther and John Kelvin reforming it yet again and again.

Atheism means not having pre-conceived faith, not Comrade Stalin being always right, not Fuerher Hitler being always right. Atheism puts faith in the logic ability of an individual. That obviously is not condusive to mass mind control. Most sheeples don't find it easy to be an atheist. Most people probably can be conditioned to believe that if they blow themselves up, they can meet 72 virgins or meet Peter at the Pearly Gage or live in eternity with Comrade Marx.

Its not just homes, with credit getting tighter its cars, appliances, furniture and so on that people aren't buying. Congress will have to expand the credit to almost anything. They should then name it; "The just buy some sh*t please" tax credit.

"Atheists don't start holy wars."

If you look at the roots of communism in Russia and the revolution and beginning of the USSR, you will see that it was Russians' religion and superstition that allowed it to happen. The communists preyed on their religious leanings.

(Incidentally, Ayn Rand's hatred of religion comes from the fact that she lived through the Russian Revolution firsthand and saw it all happen up close and personal.)

The very roots of socialism and communism are in the bible with it's "ye shall be your brother's keeper" crap.

Bankruptcy comes from the old testament's forgiveness of all debts every 7 years as does our current 7-year credit reporting limit in the US.

To me, communism is the root of all evil, and at the end of the day, that's what the bible and most religions are pushing.

Anonymous said...

neither. mostly people who are not addicted to debt, trying to get by in a country where many qualify as debt-aholics.

-----------------------

Does us all a favor and cut the crap. first of all, Atheism IS a "preconceived faith"- you have "faith" that there is No God! That's the core belief. It is a preconceived faith. You might not want to call it that, But it is whether you call it or not.

"Atheism puts faith in the logic ability of an individual" WHAT INDIVIDUAL? What Logic? Sounds stupid!

"Not conducive to mass mind control" Really? There are so many different belief systems in the world? What mass mind control are you talking about? Commie mass mind control, atheistic mass mind control? What?

Of course we're freaking subversive. What the hell is wrong with being subversive to a lying, corrupt, heartless bunch of thieving money whores? If I was one of them I would expect some percentage of society to feel that way and laugh at them like the 'bitterrenter' dude. Then when they got really pissed off I'd pretend I was one of them all along cause I'm just a self-centered pansy m'fer that wants free crap (just like your idols, the bankers) and to hell with everyone else. Then I'd be pissing my pants every day praying to God Almighty that no one f'ing recognized my dumb a$$ because that: Wouldn't. Be. Good.

Atheists are the biggest losers of all because they lack CONVICTION. Given the right circumstances they will pray. Too bad no one is going to be listening.

Anonymous said...

QUOTE:

--So I'm not a loser if I belive in a made up story used by the elite to control the general population. Sort of like "real estate always goes up" or "renters are losers." Is that the type of conviction missing from my life?

QUOTE: Given the right circumstances they will pray.

--Send me a peso and I'll pray for you. Never mind, I'll do it for free. Dear Zeus, don't hit that anon with a magic bolt of air fire. There -- feel better?

This nation and most of its citizens, residents, dwellers have no ethic, no moral, no responsibility. What it has in plenty is greed, self-centerness, ignorance, pompousness.

The housing bubble is a shiny mirror in which the Americano can look at itself and ponder upon what may the future brings upon this land of the Snapper Turtle.

A nation that mostly comprises of pigs feeding, tearing, roosting, chomping at the trough.
A nation with most of its dwellers obese, fat, diabetic, and plain ugly like a chimpanzee.
A nation where a Walmart cashier can buy a house for $500K.
A nation in which its citizen's brain IQ is lower than a snapper turtle.
A nation which rules by turkey and skunk.

The Americano nation is as toasted as a roasted armadillo skewered from mouth to ass sizzling, popping, oozing with melted golden fat over a bed of white hot charcoal.

Man this coutry is beyond FOOKED.

There's nothing subversive or particularly brilliant about not wanting to play patsy to a Ponzi scheme. The question of patriotism is interesting - whose American Dream takes precedence? The dream of making a quick buck held by all the flippers and part-time realtors, or the dream of affordable home ownership? The dream of a make-believe economy, or the dream of doing it the right way: education, infrastructure, production, innovation, health care, and affordable housing for the many instead of concentrated wealth for the few?
How about frugal free-thinkers?

Anonymous said...
