HousingPANIC Stupid Question of the Day

If the government could arrest one person to send a message that mortgage fraud is still a crime in the United States, who would it be?

Hhhmmmm... This is a tough one. Choose only ONE you ask...

There are so many high-powered crooks responsible for this mess and cashed out $100s of millions at the cost of our country.

I'm torn between the CEO of Ameriquest who Prez Bush appointed as ambassador to the Netherlands, the CEO of New Century, the CEO of WAMU who operated Long Beach mortgage, the CEO of Argent and of course the most notable CEO of Countrywide.

Hhhhmm... okay, I have to choose Tangelo Mozilo. His arrest and public trial would make the most IMPACT because Countrywide is the most widely known mortgage company by the masses/sheeple! This would make a huge CRIMINAL statement that fraud does not pay and will NOT be tolerated!

Barney Fife ROCKS!

But it's Andy Griffith who will get our man LOL ;)

^^^^^^
Of course.
As if you had to ask, Keith.

Tangelo

None of those would send a message to the American people. If a high-profile figure got arrested, the sheeple wouldn't relate.

What they need to do is arrest the average middle-income working American who lied on his mortgage application to get a house he couldn't afford. Then the authorities and the MSM could make an example of this guy and the MILLIONS who also fit that profile would be sh*tting in their pants and not sleeping at night.

THAT is what would send a message.

Frank they have already arrested and held trials for thousands of the crooks you mentioned.

But only reported on the local level in newspapers throughout the U.S. NOT everybody reads the newspapers.

So, Rachel Dollar a U.S. Attorney, made it her mission to report on the massive individual fraud and criminal rings that have been caught.

The individual fraud trials have NOT made much impact on the sheeple.

The Big Kahuna of CORRUPTION 'Tangelo' would SCREAM it's NOT okay! This would set a precendence...

I vote for Tangelo. Lereah would be a close second.

Paulson? Right in there from day one and now in governement pretending to clean it up. And managed to sell all his shares tax free. Imagine that!

greenspan for not slowing the economy and exposing the problem.

I think Barney Fife is more competent than the FBI. They are busy investigating In Touch, a tabloid magazine, for kickbacks to the papparazi photogs. All the while, a trillion dollars of mortgage fraud is threatening to send the world economy into a depression.

I blame the whole mess as a failure of corrupt Ratings Agencies to acknowledge CDO risk, causing a massive domino effect, so my choice has to be 3 people:

Raymond W. McDaniel Jr.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Moody's Corporation

Stephen Joynt
President and Chief Executive Officer
Fitch Ratings

Deven Sharma
President
Standard & Poor’s

David Crisp. And then every single fraudulent home loan liar. Put them all in jail for just 48 hours and then seize assets and then make their debts non-dismiss able.

Alan Greenspan

But I'd rather see every elected official in Washington be charged with treason and also sedition for running this country into the ground.

There are a few exceptions, but a detailed examination of voting records will prove who is innocent in Washington. I can count the number of those people on one hand...hell I could chop one of my fingers off and still be okay with that one.

The AMERICAN homeowner.

Yes start criminal prosecution against those who used their houses as banks, refinanced and cashed out!

yes start criminal prosecution against those who financed the "bling-bling" lifestyle.

Yes start criminal prosecution against those who wanted to live like Donald Trump but had a Family Dollar salary.

Yes round them up: all of those LIARS that are now pretending:" We were not aware of the fine print"....

So SICK nad TIRED of this criminal attitude!

It's really Greenspan's fault, but I don't believe he realized how gay people would get for Real Estate. I believe he over-estimated peoples' sense of value. So arresting him wouldn't help. Besides the mother-f'er is too old, and may cause public sympathy.

No, it has to be Angelo. Besides he would be easy to convict due to his "diversification plan" to sell his CFC stock back to the company at $40+ a share RIGHT before it absolutely crashed; talk about great timing!!! The guy should be running a hedge fund...

Roland Arnall - The Ex-Owner of Ameriquest, Argent, and AMC Mortgage Services for one reason alone..."Stated Letter."

They actually had the borrowers on stated deals write a letter stating th nature of their business and how much they make with no verification, no business licenses, nothing.

Hmmm...I got it, Alex: what's the 98% of all home "buyers" and REIC crooks operating in the last 6 years.

Paulson for being the main articulator of CDOs while CEO of G. Sacks.

Angelo Mozilo - but what criminal evidence could you present that his well-paid lawyers cannot take apart? The really guilty people, however, the Fed and the rating agencies, who could have made a difference are probably beyond legal recourse.

Dubya Shrub + Penis Shooter = "Little Boy" + "Fat Man"

This nation and its Americano citizen is as toasted as a snapper turtle skewered on a Chinese bamboo stick from mouth to ass all sizzling, sputtering, roasting nicely, juices dripping, fat popping over a bed of white hot charcoal grill.

Americano = Grilled Snapper Turtle

Heeeee... Haaaaa... Arrrrr...

So, tell me, does the average Americano take it enough in the rear orifice yet by the forceful penetration of "Little Boy" + "Fat Man", or do you want more "Enter The Dragon" ?

Americano = Being Entered By The Dragon up the Kazook

Heeeee... Haaaaa... Arrrrr...

And all of you retards, ass-head that voted for SHRUB and worshipped his ASS over the last 8 years, guess what, the chicken are coming home to roost on your head-ass. The ancient snapper turtle probably have more brain cell than you and your children combined together. Are you sorry yet ? Do you feel ashamed and stupid about your shallow thinking, narrow-minded love and swoon for DUBYA ? Do you, do you, do you ???

Greenspan. He architected, "Financial Engineered", the economic stimulus of creating secondary financial markets leveraged by rapaciously extracting equity from homeowners.

If there were any justice, (and there isn't), they would arrest the head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency under W.

I vote Tangelo

how about andrew hack ?

One's not enough. If just one person pays for the sins of multitudes, then the crooks will be confirmed in their belief that there's safety in numbers.

However, I'll play along. Others may have been more egregious, but none more shameless than Orangelo. He claimed to have known there was a bubble over which he was powerless, and to have been swept along with the tide, but CFC's last annual report boasted of being the dominant player. He can't have it both ways.

Andy: Now Barn why are you so upset?
Barney: You don't understand. This is a violation somewhere.
Andy: Because a few appraisers ran up Mayberry values and unscrupulous realtors conned Aunt Bee and others with a ponzi scheme?
Barney: You bet! i'm gonna bring'em in for theft and conspiracy.
Andy: Barn, our jails ain't big enough to hold the whole town!
