Not yet. Clintons go down fighting, and I don't Hillary packing it in until a lot trash has been dumped Obama's way. Showing once again that the Democrats can snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Keith did you check out the story on politico.

HIllary will be going after Obama's PLEDGES DELEGATES NOW, not just the super delegates who can vote for anyone. There are rules that allow the pledged delegates obama won from popular vote and congressional distruct that allow them to vote for anyone.

Hillarys campaign manager said they will be going after them.

RE: With his victory in Wisconsin's Democratic presidential primary on Tuesday, Barack Obama withstood an aggressive assault by rival Hillary Rodham Clinton and gained new momentum for their high-stakes battle ahead in Texas and Ohio.

Hillary Clinton is still the establishment's fair-haired Golden Girl.

Barak Obama would fit into the high-level US control league about as well as Dodi Fayed would have fit into England's royal court.

Obama would be less welcome as a US president than JFK and treated accordingly by the establishment.

The old way (up to now) is going to fall through the floor beneath our feet, everything we believe has us covered is going to fail (100K FDIC

What we need for a president is the smartest, broadest thinker we can find, and posts like this trash the best candidate we have. America worships money, attitude, the banal and the dull. That's venom covering your eyes...

Annnnnd the corrupt MSM along with the evil Republicans are picking once again our next president for us.

Unfortunately, stupid people never notices that. The psychotic Republicans (go see a psychologist already) who hate Hillary for no reason whatsoever is understandable, but the rest...

Geez, I'm so relieved that the MTV-pot head-video game generation, along with the welfare ghetto, brainless single mothers, rappers, Oprah, high school-drop out minorities, and evil Republicans are pushing Obama as our next president, in one one of the most critical periods in our history. They must be right!

Republicans can vote for democrats in Texas. And they will for Obama.

I am starting to wonder if the split in the democratic party is caused by republican and independents that are voting in masses for Obama, so that they can get rid of the Clintons once and for all?

If you look at the numbers, the voting patter is 2 to 1 ( Dem vs Rep)

If that is the case, then we will be in for the most virulent and toxic presidential race in history.

I'm still a right-wing fascist because I refuse to admit that every Democrat is better than Jesus himself. Now you know why I'm an independent. To the poster who said Clinton can beat McCain but Obama cannot -- I don't think that is the conventional wisdom. When I was caucusing for Ron Paul, there was one McCain supporter in the bunch (8 paul, 2 huck, 1 mcc) who spoke in favor of McCain. It was his view that if Clinton took the nomination, McCain would win, but if Obama does, there's no chance for the GOP this time around.

I think that is playing out in the polls too. If you look at states where HRC won, Obama was nipping at her heals, but in states where Obama won, it's around 2-1 for Obama. Obama has lots of 60 and 70% wins with HRC in the 30s. Clinton has wins, but she's usually in the low to mid 50s, with Obama in the 40s.

I've never voted Republican in my life but I'd vote for my garden slugs before I'd vote for HRC. She's a warhawk and a socialist -- with that combination, our debt would rise at the speed of light.

Markus Arelius said...

If Obama wins, McCain is toast.

And I actually like McCain on most issues, except immigration. He is a true fiscal conservative Republican and a hawk against Washington spending and corruption (campaign finance reform anyone?), he has a record of reaching across the aisle for compromise and getting things done. McCain is experienced and pro-military too, which in times of war is a huge plus.

Overall, McCain is experienced and proven. He also doesn't have the nauseating Jesus fever of the Bush II regime.

But McCain has significant problems:

a.) his age. Face it. McCain is viewed as cantakerous, angry and just old as hell.

b.) his support of Bush's failed war in Iraq and his support of the surge (which has worked to some extent, but came about 2 years 4 years too late)

c.) his association with 20 years of Washington politics, in general. This doesn't play in his favor against a new guy. This is not McCain's fault, but he's being viewed as guilty by association to all that's wrong in Washington. So is Hillary, btw. (That's not fair to her either.)

No, if Obama wins the Democratic nomination, then McCain is going to get torched in November. Just my opinion because Obama is the anti-thesis to a., b. and c. above.

Plus I think Obama is going to swoon the female vote big time, due to Oprah's book club and her endorsement. :)

Princess - Hillary and Bill (it was a two-fer) put up a good fight. It was a great race, the best Dem race in my lifetime. Loved it. One for the ages.

But now it's over. It's like a football game when one team's ahead by 40 points with 10 seconds left and they're taking the knee.

Obama is taking the knee. But Hillary strangely is still smashing into the line, trying to take him down and make sure he loses the next game.

She's shaming herself on the way out. Losing ungracefully. Shamefully. She could have made a deal too - maybe sec of state or defense. But now I hope Obama gives her sh*t. Nothing. Back to the senate, and goodbye.

I do have a strange feeling that she'll NEVER concede. All the way to the convention. She'll lose, and she'll be run out of town. But she's ruthless, and I hope Obama has security watching HER too.

Now that she's lost, will you support Obama?

McCain 47.1 Clinton 44.7

If something happened to Obama and it was indeed McCain vs. Clinton, I'd vote for McCain. And then not move back to the US for four more years.

But that's not gonna happen. Obama is gonna win the general 58 to 41, and take 40 states in a landslide.

I respectfully disagree. I know most gloss over her rate freeze statement. But in my opinion, if implemented, it would be an absolute and utter disaster. Far worse than anything Obama is touting.

Those types of broad based actions taken by the government have sweeping ramifications. Remember the price/wage freezes that were tried in the 70s? What a dismal failure. An interest rate freeze would be a disaster to what remains of the mortgage market. Who is going to purchase CDOs if a precedent has been set that implies government intervention in the investments? Not to mention what it would do to people who are applying for new loans. That "frozen" interest rate needs to be compensated for somewhere.

Anonymous said...

Puhleeease! McCain is already slamming Obama... Pay attention!

Slamming him how? The only cannon-fodder they have against Obama is his inexperience.

Sorry folks but when the two choices presented to the masses are "more of the same" versus "its time for a change", the latter wins hands down during times of economic or social hardship. Which is where we are now.

I agree. Nevertheless, these plans 'freezing rates', helping homedebtors, etc. have been proposed ALREADY by the Bush Administration, Paulson, Bernanke, etc. they have been trying to implement these actions now!

NOW because of ABSENT regulators and IDIOT people running this country, WE will all suffer from this economic catastrophe!!!

If he gets this job, he is a one term bagholder. He will be completely overwhelmed by the tsunami of economic and political problems facing this country.
He will go down hard, and with hope a president with Ron Paul's platform will run in 2012 and bring this country back from ruins.

Two weeks until Texas and Ohio. If Obama's streak continues, that'll be the appropriate time to make noises that Hillary should drop out.

I want to see a woman prexy some day. But she has to stand the same test of principles, values, etc. as any other candidate.

Obama represents, among other things, a post race-conscious America. It's about the content of our minds and our character. That Obama got this far is the best indication that there's hope for us yet. Hillary is losing because she ran a poor campaign. I don't have trouble saying this, because she herself fired her managers. She is on the wrong side of too many things (see Molly Ivins and Hillary's former dorm mate, for starters).

As I told you guys months before, see the corrupt MSM slowly shifting the evil bashing from Hillary to Obama, and more and more phony Osama & Al-Qaeda videos fresh from the CIA oven. Booo, the bogeyman is gonna get you. Just like the shady group planned; you know, the same shady group that pulled 9-11 and convinced you, through the same corrupt MSM, that those towers fell on their own. It's all going as planned, my sheep friends.

This is the same Chris Mathews who's been bashing Hillary and Bill from day one, non stop for months, daily basis. But now that the corrupt MSM has accomplished its duty imposed by the shady group, it's time to destroy Obama:

NEW YORK - NBC News said Tuesday it has reprimanded the employee responsible for mistakenly flashing a picture of Osama bin Laden on MSNBC as Chris Matthews talked about Barack Obama.

"This mistake was inexcusable," MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said.

It happened during the opening of "Hardball" Monday evening. Matthews was previewing a story on the controversy over Obama's use of another politician's words, and a picture of bin Laden briefly flashed on the screen beside him with the headline "Words About Words."

See Keith, how it works?

Don't you realize how flawed your logic is? fiscal conservative is an oxymoron when talking about John McCain.

McCain wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years spending trillions upon trillions of dollars on a war that should never have been fought!

How is that being a fiscal conservative?

John McCain is the antithesis of a fiscal conservatism because his support of the war in iraq is the most fiscally damaging thing to the country. The war in Iraq is bankrupting America, and you call him a fiscal conservative?!?

What planet is this?

McCain will give a speech damning earmarks and pork barrel spending when he supports a war that wastes hundreds of billions of more dollars.

The only Fiscal conservative in the Republican party right now is Ron Paul.

Anonymous said...

Let it go, here are some more, just like I said it would happen. First the daily bashing of Hillary on TV, as planned:

This has been a rough month of apologies at MSNBC. Reporter David Shuster was suspended for two weeks for saying that Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign had "pimped out" daughter Chelsea by having her make political phone calls. And Matthews apologized last month after suggesting that Clinton's political prominence was due to her husband's infidelities.

Once Hillary is finished, the corrupt MSM slowly shifts the bashing to Obama, until he's destroyed like Kerry and Dean:

CNN apologized last year for promoting a story on the search for bin Laden with the headline, "Where's Obama?"

One other time, CNN's Alina Cho reported that "Barack Obama's campaign has been dogged by false rumours, among them that Osama is a Muslim, Obama rather."

Even former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney misspoke on the campaign trail last October when talking about terrorism. "Actually, just look at what Osam, uh, Barack Obama said just yesterday ..."

Any questions, Obama's sheep voters? Being played for a fool again, huh? Geniuses!
