Disgraced and corrupt toxic loan CEOs Angelo Mozilo, Charlie Prince and Stan O'Neal set to be publicly flogged in front of Congress and the nation

I hope some congressman with guts asks them about knowingly enabling mortgage fraud. I hope to see Angelo take the fifth. I hope to see Waxman ask The Orange One about having CFC buy shares on the open market as he was dumping them. I hope to see rage, disgust and the threat of more investigations from our congressmen, who are supposed to represent US of course.

But since the fix is in, and these companies (Countrywide, Merrill and Citi) and their organizations (NAR, NAHB, NAMB) are the top donors to our corrupted congress, I'm not holding my breath.

But who knows. Maybe in an election year congressmen choose their political careers over their masters.

Former Citi, Merrill CEOs face grilling

House Democrat Henry Waxman calls on recently canned executives with ties to the subprime debacle to explain their compensation.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A key House Democrat wants to grill top banking industry executives about how much they're getting paid on their way out of companies scorched by the mortgage market meltdown.

On Monday, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said he'd sent letters to Angelo Mozilo, chief executive officer of Countrywide Financial Corp., former Citigroup CEO Charles Prince and Stan O'Neal, former CEO of Merrill Lynch & Co.

With America's track record, I bet Mozillo would win a landslide election for President if he chose to run.

There should be a Federal Marshall stationed at the ready to shackle Ange and take him off to the Gas Chamber.

No trial, No appeals, Nothing.

Instead, he will probably receive a lucrative consulting job with
B of A for life...

America, more corrupt and broke than Russia.

Just tying to help...

I hope to see Angelo take the fifth.

You think they will swear him in? HAHAHA!!

I guess you didn't watch the oil industry executives testify.

Corrupt Congress Critter #1: So, how does it feel to be the greatest, most patriotic people on earth?

Oil Industry Exec: Modesty precludes me from answering that question.

Bwahaha!! Keith thinks congreffs is going to get tough. HAHAHA!!

Would that be the incompetent democratic Congress that's doing the investigating?

Just think, if republicans still controlled Congress, they'd be taking bribes from Mozilo or presenting him the Medal of Freedom.

Yeah, the dems are no better than republicans. Sure.

Wanta see Ron Paul jump his shit like no other. Like in the line from pulp fiction "Work the homes here over with a blow torch and a pair of pliers.

You hear me hill-billy boy. I'm gonna get medieval on your ass."

Of course "hill-billy boy" would have to be replaced with, perhaps, "you greedy oompa loompa" or "you orange sob".

Hopefully Bush one day hears:

"You hear me hill-billy boy. I'm gonna get medieval on your ass."

That will be his LEGACY of Failure and Shame.

George Bush, candidate for worst (allegedly) human ever hatched.

I agree, but lets also flog millions of defaulting, wanna be home flippers who committed fraud on their "liar loan" mortgage applications.
Better yet, let also give most of the incompetents in Congress their whippings too since they did nothing to prevent the present economic mess.
Millions of floggings could help the unemployment picture. Hundreds of jobs for qualified "floggers" would be created and tickets could be sold to the public with proceeds going to pay down the national debt.
It's a win / win situation!

I don't understand WHY nobody else in GOVERNMENT is making an issue of this??? That is what is really pissing me off. Everyone who we depend on to defend our civil liberties have ALL remained f&*ken silent!

The lenders were like 'drug dealers' in every way for offering their toxic loans to the public in the first place.
