America, and the world, you've been lied to. Now deal with it.

So how about 9/11? How many of you guys think a handful of arabs with box cutters brought down three WTC skyscrapers?

I personally do not know what to believe but I think there is definitely room for a proper investigation into all of the questions that remain unanswered. The 9/11 Truthers are dismissed as a bunch of nutters that all believe 9/11 was an inside job but the majority just want a proper investigation. They include 9/11 victims families, scientists, government officials and military.

Is 9/11 a closed case for you or do you think there's more to the story?

Here are some good videos on the subject that raise many disturbing questions that to this date have not been answered.

Here's my favorite quote from Bernanke today:

Especially important is making sure a plan can put cash into the hands of poor people and the middle class, who are most likely to spend it right away, he said, though he added that research shows affluent people also spend some of their rebates.

Wow, what a shocker. The poor and middle class piss their money away as fast as it comes in, while the few who manage to become rich are those who don't spend, spend, spend.

Maybe these jackasses who take out 2nd and 3rd mortgages to buy BMWs and Escalades might learn something here.

Thing is Keith, the other 5.65 billion of us don't get to vote or not vote for these clowns and laws. But when the bill is due we have to pay too.

I can't wait for america to come begging to the IMF and the World Bank. The terms and conditions on that bail out will be evil!

I can't belive citizens of the US are so uninterested, the rest of us give a crap but can't change a thing.

I tell you, your time is coming and the rest of the globe will not want to listen to your snivelling whinney BS...

Imagine the sypathy that South America, Asia and Africa are going to have for middle america just as much offered to them since WWII.

oh btw when Vladimir Putin openly laughs at the next US presnit and the troubles they face you know your screwed!

Congress is too busy driving us toward war with Iran to worry about the economy.

Here's something we should all be very concerned about:

Congress dismisses NIE, declares Iran a nuclear threat

Iran poses a nuclear weapons threat to the United States and its allies, according to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 H R 4986 passed 369-46 by the US House of Representative yesterday, even though the National Intelligence Estimate concluded that that Tehran abandoned its atomic weaponry ambitions in 2003.

Source:
http://presscue.com/node/41856

Congress has already declared the Iranian National Guard a terrorist organization.

We've already had the staged act of provocation in the Strait of Hormuz. All the Neocons need now is one little spark to set off another disaster of a war in the name of Israel. WTF is going on?!!

In case you didn't know, this is all part of the hardcore Neocons (Cheney, Kristol, Wolfowitz etc...) strategy that they spelled out publicly in the Project for a New American Century documents.

Remember, Plato,Socrates, and the infamous neoconservative pol.sci. prof. from the University of Chicago the late Leo Strauss mentor to half of the Bush/Cheney West Wing brahmins, and Machiavelli...have always preached....

THE NOBLE LIE

They preach that it is the responsibility of the 'elites' of society to LIE to the masses in order to maintain social cohesiveness.

Another 9-11 nutjob. Every conspiracy theory has been debunked 100 times over. The nutters keep claiming there are unanswered questions even though those questions have been answered ad nauseum. The only ones who refuse to answer questions are the 9-11 nutters.

Why can't arabs do something like that? Are they somehow less capable than white people? These nutters claim that Bush is an idiot, yet he is able to pull off this gigantic conspiracy and fool 99% of the world? Yet Arabs, who even the Japanese claim are very, very smart people, are unable to destroy anything?

If you honestly think the US government was responsible for bringing down the WTC, then what are you doing living in a country where the government kills citizens like this at whim? If it is true, then aren't you being a terrible parent raising your kids in this country? Shouldn't you go to another country ASAP so that you aren't killed?

Andy in New Zealand I am a proud patriotic American and I don't mean to offend you. But who gives a shit what the rest of the world thinks about America? America is the engine of the entire world. The world needs America more than America needs the world. America has the largest economy in the world at about 13 trillion dollars. No one else even comes close. You can dream of America losing its' stature, but it won't happen. Besides, if we suffer then people around the world will suffer even more.

Wow. Don't we give financial aid to the rest of the world? Aren't we the first army people call when they need help? Don't our citizens (from Joe Schmo on main street to Bill Gates and Warren Buffett) give TONS and TONS of money to charities to help with AIDS, tsunamis, earthquakes, and other natural disasters/common good causes?

At a certain point, you can see why people would be ready to screw the rest of the world. They come crying to us whenever we need help, but they want to see us fail as soon as times get a little tough. I'm not saying that we are perfect (we OBVIOUSLY have many, many failed international policies), but at least give us some credit for the good things we do.

okay I am the racist here, sorry, but does anyone see just one simularity with all these people. They are middle aged WHITE men who knew they would never be held accountable for their just make the deal mentality. So why do you people (keith in particular)say that well mexicans and blacks can't pay their bills and they should have never been given these loans YA DA YA DA but at the time white folks thought they found a way to get those black and mexican dollars why give it to crack dealers and liquors stores.
Let's face it there weren't enough blacks and mexicans buying houses to cause this mess, you throw in a bunch of white folks(there are more having the payment blues than you would want to think of your people and a bunch of people who bought eight houses instead of just one) and others and this is what ya get. Greedy white people once again preying on blacks and mexicans with dreams of home ownership. Isn't that how the Indians lost all this real estate to white people.

Never said anything of the kind. If you read my original post you'll see that I do not know what the real story behind 9/11 is. There are so many holes in the official story. So many logic defying and physics defying explanations. So much strange behaviour by our "leaders" and so much evidence never investigated but destroyed or held from public view in the name of "national security".

It's not true that these questions have been answered or debunked. Yes, I've read the responses like the Popular Mechanics article and many others but none of them offer explanations that stand up to scrutiny.

Of course Bush is not smart enough to pull anything like this off but we all know Bush is just a foil for the Neocons that really run his administration. Anyway, as I said before, I'm not saying 9/11 was an "inside job" the point is I do not know and I was asking how many of you were satisfied with the official version of events?

One other thing. Let's not assume that elements of the government or elements of the CIA and military are incapable of staging false flag attacks and sacrificing American lives in the process. Even if 9/11 was not an inside job we have examples like:

Gulf of Tonkin
(staged attack that escalated the war in Vietnam)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_of_Tonkin_Incident

Operation Northwoods
(Joint Chiefs of Staff plot to stage false flag attacks to generate public support for an invasion of Cuba)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods

USS Liberty Incident
(Israeli forces attack a US intelligence ship)
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/margolis12.html

The War in Iraq
(US soldiers sacrificed in a war based on lies and disproven links to Al Qaeda and 9/11)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_A77N5WKWM

You guys need to become a little bit more sophisticated in your world view before throwing the nutter label around. It's not the islamo-fascist terrorists that are the threat to America it's this false notion that America needs to defend Israel, spread democracy via military action and secure the Middle East. This line of thinking is destroying the US economy and destroying the very Constitution that defines America.

Look at New Orleans, for the first time you out sourced in your own country. And that place my friends for the most powerful best givers in the world is a total screw up.

I agree American is the biggest and the best, well at most things and the world needs you economy.

When a smaller country has an economic crisis the aid comes in spades from the US, BUT and its a big BUT it comes with a few caveats.

financial markest must be deregulated, utilities sold off against the will of the people it effects most. South america has started its own fund to help in economic hard times they have paid off the world bank and the IMF because the terms of the loans are to harsh. Russia has paid back its loans too and Vlad has told them never to sully his door again.

you can chest beat and blow as hard as you want about how frickin great you are. It may not be in my life time but one day your kids are going to wake up in a country with no GM or Ford, with no icons. Just like Britain did in the 70's..

"You can dream of America losing its' stature, but it won't happen."

you sure its not happening right now! I used to be in awe of your country, the space shuttle things like that but over the last 20 years the US has got all mean and nasty. See when you claim the rest of the world will hurt, and yes we will we will be better equipt to cope, its going to be a steep learning curve when the bill comes for your 1.3 Trillion dollar debt to china, you think they give a shit, they know hardship!

Maybe it is best that you ignore the rest of the world and keep watching fox news, good luck!

That's right. You don't get to vote.

But you *do* get to sit on your ass and scream when the shit hits the fan. Remember the tsunami? Thanks for all the help, Kiwis....NOT! India did much more to help, and they're third world.

You bastards sat on your ass and watched. This happened in your corner of the world! Australia helped, India helped.....and you guys hunkered down with a bag of crisps.

And time and time again, when shit hit the fan all over the world, the mighty Kiwis.....sat and watched, and smugly pointed out where we and the Aussies screwed up. Of course, getting in there and doing something constructive wasn't about to happen, was it? Nope, keep hitting the snooze bar like you have since WW2. It's sooooo much easier.

Consider it an ingratitude tax if NZ has to spend a few dollars to bail us out.

Maybe if you started pulling your weight, instead of expecting the US and Australia to do everything, we just might care about what NZ has to say. But until that day comes, go pound it, pal.

Um "But you *do* get to sit on your ass and scream when the shit hits the fan. Remember the tsunami? Thanks for all the help, Kiwis....NOT! India did much more to help, and they're third world."

not saying we didn't try but:

* Government — The New Zealand government announced it will donate NZD 10 million (USD 7.2 million). On January 18, the New Zealand Government announced an increase in aid to a total of NZD 68 million (USD 47.2M), including its initial NZD 10 million commitment. The government's response includes $NZ20 million ($A18.4 million) for United Nations relief efforts, $NZ20 million ($A18.4 million) for work in Aceh and other parts of Sumatra through a bilateral aid program in Indonesia and a $NZ19 million ($A17.5 million) dollar-for-dollar matching of public donations by New Zealanders.
* Military — Also, an airforce (RNZAF) C-130 Hercules, working in unison with the Royal Australian Air Force, has been sent for evacuation and transport of relief supplies. . New Zealand has also sent an RNZAF 757 aircraft to the Thai city of Phuket with a specialist victim identification team on board. The 38-year old aircraft have, unfortunately, been plagued with severe technical difficulties, and on several occasions, been forced to halt aid efforts.
* Public — The New Zealand government also announced that it would match, dollar for dollar, the amount pledged by its citizens to various charities. As of January 18, this equates to a further NZD 19 million.[105]

pounding it may be all we have in common :)

Forget racism and sexism, it is about ELITISM and the 'noble lies'that they must perpetuate for purposes of agenda pushing and 'social control.'

It does not matter if you are a Dem. or Rep. or Indy.

Condi Rice, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary and Obama are also enablers of the 'noble lie.'

Be forewarned fellow Demorcrats, the manner in which Bush disenfranchised the envangelical and fiscal conservative base of the Republican party, Hillary will try to deliver the death blow to the labor and environmental base of the Democratic party.

Do not be fooled. No matter how hard the Republican Right tries to paint her as a diehard left-wing ideologue, she is'nt: she is a corporate elitist!

When she graduated from the Yale Law School, the very first organization she approached was the US Marine Corps Judge Advocate General. She wanted Marine JAG and not Navy or Army JAG because in the early seventies, women were not allowed in the officer ranks of the Marines. She wanted to be the first female Marine JAG. This is an example of her cloaked affection for militarism and corporate authority.

When she followed Bill to Arkansas so that he could launch his political career, she did not exactly seek out a left leaning legal position with the Arkansas ACLU or the Arkansas branch of the Legal Defense Fund of the Arkansas division of the NAACP or any other public interest organization: she went to work for the most powerful and oldest law firm in the state with a name that sounds like it came from a John Grisham novel: The Rose law firm!

Two of the biggest clients of the Rose at the time was the Tysons Poulry Co. and a small startup grocery/dept. store chain that we now know today as WALMART. Hillary was instrumental in designing the legal architecture for the managemant friendly and labor hostile framework of Tysons and Walmart and other companies in Arkansas. When it came time to do war with teachers unions, the Arkansas govt. would often retain the services of the Rose.

Need I remind you of the FORTUNE magazine cover that appeared last year: WHY WALL STREET LOVES HILLARY!

Once again, do'nt be fooled!

I liked the part of Prof. Strauss in which he required his graduate students to watch GUNSMOKE and PERRY MASON. Especially PERRY MASON because 'he is the perfect example of the duty of the elites to perpetuate myths to the public in order to save America from itself and the elites do not have to believe in these myths personally;JUST PERPETUATE THEM!'

Prior to 911, if you went anywhere in the Middle East and mentioned groups such as HAMAS, HEZBOLLAH, THE PLO, ISLAMIC JIHAD, DRUZE,CHRISTIAN PHALANGE,ETC.,people would acknowledge their presence and some would even boast of having a friend or family member in one of those groups.

But mention Al-Qaeda, most would ask WHO?WHAT?

I have always heard of the above groups in the news, but never Al-Qaeda until Bush mentioned it in his week-after-911 speech to the nation!
