WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Federal Reserve pumped $41 billion into the U.S. financial system Thursday, the largest cash infusion since September 2001, to help companies get through a credit crunch.

as someone pointed out the other day- US dollars are fine, its those damn federal reserve notes that are the problem...

POUND OF FLESH PLEASE...

I'd prefer a pound of Flesh, like shylock. Begin with the Executive Branch and move downward to mortgage executives especially if they are orange in tone...

Yeah, and I don't have to pay taxes on shiny beads either, a win-win.

This blog was great until recently.

Now it has jumped the shark.

If you are trying to destroy the credibility of both the blog and its readers, then you have done an excellent job with this poll.

What kind of f*cking idiots would prefer shiny beads to US dollars? Probably none of the people who voted for said shiny beads.

ha ha ha ha ha ha this is such a funny poll ha ha ha get it ha ha ha look look the us dollar is so bad that people would rather get paid in shiny beads ha ha ha ha

F*cking stupid.
F*cking juvenile.
Far below the standards of any of (1)wit,
(2)humour,
(3)insight,
(4)intelligence,
(5)meaningful commentary
that I have come to expect from Keith.

Screaming recently that the US has entered hyperinflation was another excellent method of destroying the credibility of the blog.

I hope that you resume your old standards before long, Keith. Because this is getting pathetic.

With a tanking dollar money will fly to real assets. Real Estate is a real asset, and we may see a real estate recovery(at least not the crash expected) due to foriegn investment in American Real Estate. If rents go up with inflation the next few years the shit actually might make sense again soon, and a tanking dollar may keep prices from falling(even though it is losing real value)Luckily all my buildings have good cash flows, and low fixed rate mortgages. I may come out of this looking pretty smart for buying a bunch of low income rentals afterall. Go figure. The next few years will be very interesting, and there will be chances to make a shitload of money somewhere in all the chaos. Look for the opportunities instead of crying about how bad things are. A few multi millionares I know all bought buildings when interest rates where 18%. I'm getting tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop. They are doing one hell of a job keeping this smoke and mirror economy on life support.

Shiny beads = cheap crap from China

Maybe China is doing us a favor...

93% of HPers also think Ron Paul will be the next president. In other words 93% of HPers are certifiably insane.

and since the great victory against the irs, last month in nevada concerning being paid in gold coin, i think it would be great to be paid in gold coin at face value.

Thank goodness I opted to be paid in Canadian dollars, if I had stayed with US dollars I would have lost about 33% over the last few years.

The value of gold is based on the next bigger fool theory, just like Las Vegas real estate was. Geez, it's a shiny metal. And when someone figures out how to synthesize it from lead, watch out.

Yeah, that gold Ponzi scheme has been going for 5000+ years. When will people wake up? Pieces of paper with numbers on them are SO much better as money.
