HousingPANIC Stupid Question of the Day

Where did all the "you guys are all chicken littles, brown shirts and winged monkeys" now-is-a-great-time-to-buy-there-is-no-housing-bubble realtor trolls go?

(I guess bubbles weren't for bathtubs, eh Kendra?)

(Extra credit - everyone look at that price chart from Vegas (thanks Doom). Anyone see the toxic-loan-speculator-fed bubble now? That one's gonna take some time to deflate)

I'm sure all the realtors are busy buying up all that inventory since it's always a Great time to buy!!!

Vegas is a scum town. I lived there so I know. Always has been, always will be. The housing bubble masked that fact for a few years but now it's back to reality. The only people who want to move to Vegas now are illegals.

I've never understood peoples fascination with Las Vegas. To me it just epitomizes the "Ugly American"

Greg Swann probably sold one house this year

Bailout is here and the HP crowd is upset. Oh no tax money is going to be used. Oh no brown people are going to own a home. Oh the horror the horror of it all.

Game over losers. I hope you enjoy that apartment, you will be there for the rest of your un-natural lives.

U.S. citizens - the gov't is threatening to punish ALL of us with a bailout of fools, flippers, speculators, and criminals. We have a threat of our own: derail the U.S. economy. Stop buying anything unnecessary. Purchase only food and fuel needed to work/live. Bring the gov't to its knees by cutting off the tax tit.

I wonder what Greg Swann does for money these days

And to think things are just getting started - Famed (at least in California) radio financial advisor Mode Ansari, said last week on his statewide broadcast, "folks, you don't want to hear this, but housing prices will be down 10,20,30,40 even 50% before this is all over!". . .when even radio talk show hosts say this, the sky really IS falling.

Kendra was on Fox News last Saturday debating the housing bubble issue and she still has the guts (or is it stupidity) to use the "Bubbles are for bathtubs" line. She also said, "Worst case a couple million homeowners will be foreclosed on, no big deal."

Obviously the trolls are still trolling....Anon 12:25.

Trolls are just unemployed mortgage brokers, RE agents, title company employees (former) or construction workers. . .they have nothing better to do. . .I saw a homeless guy yesterday out on the street with his laptop in front of a WIFI hot spot here in downtown SD. . .kind of funny - he was probably trolling here at HP. . .if these trolls sat where I am sitting (literally) on the 16th floor of a downtown SD highrise - I am looking across at Acqua Vista - a 300 unit building with 20% bank owned and EVERY unit selling below developer price. . .they would have the Fear of God put hin them.

Vegas is fun to visit for a few days, but who would want to live there? I guess if you can make the big bucks as a casino manager or strip club owner, it might be worth it.

The NAR and Feds will try to hide the drop in prices, but this is the scenario you will see repeated for the next few years:

1. FB bought at the peak for $350,000

2. Neighbor buys a few years later for $150,000

3. FB goes apeshit crazy and whines about how it's unfair

NAR and the Feds will not count REO's, auctions or short sales when counting median prices.

Trolls are just bitter they see the truth around them everyday. Plunging property values yet locked into an ARM they can't refi. No spending money, eh troll?

They troll because they no longer work and theyre not happy

Basically...the things are always positive folks are getting their clocks cleaned so to speak. Real estate is a cyclical business and to stick your head in the sand and ignore national and local shifts is a recipe for a disaster. We've seen many many real estate agents leave the business here in Saint Louis MO.

In our opinion its a a necessary and good thing to clean out and leave the more professional full-time and experienced agents.

I have been only buying what is necessary for years now and then only when on sale, but I worry that the powers that be will find this spending habit so common that they use it to posion the commoners as I was once this year food posioned and still ill from it....

actually, the "things are always positive" folks are usually on the right side. But when the market turns...
