So after eliminating habeas corpus, now George Bush by stroke of the pen eliminates the right to protest against the war in Iraq

And Americans 1) don't know and 2) don't care

This is real. Yet you do nothing.

Memo to war protesters - you may want to take your activities outside the US borders as of today. I'll kick it off - Hey, George Bush and Dick Cheney - Go Fu&k Yourselves, you completely f*cked up in Iraq.

Say that in America today and you may find yourself in jail with no right to a trial, and with your assets seized. Seriously. And actually, since Bush and Cheney think they control the world, if you say that outside the US they still might swoop in illegally, pick you up and toss you in a secret prison. Seriously. Anyone see a problem with this? Anyone?

How does any of this have to do with housing? Here's how - your house can now be seized if you protest against the war in Iraq. Period.

From the Third Reich, err, I mean White House last week:

Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, as amended (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.)(IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.)(NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,

I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, find that, due to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States posed by acts of violence threatening the peace and stability of Iraq and undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people, it is in the interests of the United States to take additional steps with respect to the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13303 of May 22, 2003, and expanded in Executive Order 13315 of August 28, 2003, and relied upon for additional steps taken in Executive Order 13350 of July 29, 2004, and Executive Order 13364 of November 29, 2004. I hereby order:

Section 1. (a) Except to the extent provided in section 203(b)(1), (3), and (4) of IEEPA (50 U.S.C. 1702(b)(1), (3), and (4)), or in regulations, orders, directives, or licenses that may be issued pursuant to this order, and notwithstanding any contract entered into or any license or permit granted prior to the date of this order, all property and interests in property of the following persons, that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of United States persons, are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in: any person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense,

(i) to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:

(A) threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq; or

(B) undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people;

Dear Prez Bush, here is my list where to start. Clinton's, Kerry's, Gore's, Edward's, Kenedy's, Finestein's, Pelosi's and Soros that sould be enough to pay off the national debt. Then move on to the Hollywood scum to fund the social scurity for the next hundred years.

So now Americans can face the same punishment for holding a placard as for blowing up some people, I wonder how long it will take the people with placards to realise that they might as well pick up guns and bombs rather than placards, American Revolution II anyone?

You know I would step out and talk to my fellow Americans..if only they weren't so fucking stupid to understand what I was actually talking about.

It clearly says "act of violence" - where's the part banning civil disobedience?

You don't actually have to commit an act of violence. All the Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense or Decretary of State have to think is that in their judgement only, that you MIGHT:

"to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing"

Get it now?

You're about six years too late. The Patriot Act allows the Feds to block asset transfers if they suspect tax evasion or any other activity that threatens "national security". Bureaucrats, not judges and juries make the determinations and there is no appeal. Countries like Belize which used to allow dual citizenship were bullied into dropping that priveledge, so that door in now closed as well.

The smart money saw this coming and got out ten years ago. You'll have to resort to illegal means to get your stuff out.

I welcome the tough line. About time someone does something about the ACLU vermin in this country. A few concentration / re-education camps would be nice too. You leftists better shape up.

Thank god we only have 18 mo left except this new Bush law will carry over to the next candidate.

Patty Sheehan definitely was the reason for this law. Is she in jail yet?

So when the wheels come off their shysterwagon they do what they always do.....They steal by force,or armed robbery if the con isn't working.
America is not the US.Remember that.
Washington DC,AKA the US,has done all of this before so don't be too surprised.
Protests are a waste anyway.
Withdrawl support little by little.
Don't debate the cons, that's what they want.Just tone it down, cut their lifeline(your money),and by all means organize (collusion) economic sanctions against them. That's one of the ways wars are fought.

Yeah right -- all their money together might pay off 10% of it. You people had better be nice to the rich because the top 5% pay over half of the income taxes. They can live anywhere they want and if you piss them off, they just might go somewhere else. Then jokers like you will get to make up the difference so Uncle Sammy can keep paying handouts to the next tier of losers.

This is not a big deal as the the first sentence states, "By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution."

Hmm it's obvious to me from reading the wording of that Executive Order that it applies to activities in Iraqi soil. No, it does not say that explicity, but it cannot be argued that any actions which take place on US soil would directly affect what the order is addressing.

I know no one loves Bush but I'm also not about to start jumping on the conspiracy theory bandwagon.

I saw this. This is unconstitutional but I have a bad feeling the Supremes will vote 5-4 to allow this continued trashing of our constitution.

So is Dr. Paul going to have his assets frozen for saying this war is ridiculous? I hope Bush tries because Ron Paul will kick his butt.

What's paranoid about a President who keeps assailing the Constitution? Why aren't folks like you more worried about this? Is it because you love this guy? I promise you if Clinton did this, you'd be crying louder than anybody.

(and no, I hated Bill Clinton and never once voted for him...nice try if that's what you were thinking).

This is the same Preznit who signed an executive order saying that if we were severely attacked on US Soil he could take full control over the guvmint.

This EO is explicitly referring to US citizens.

I suggest getting a min-wage job to save on your SS payments and taxes, if you deem those too high!

Worst president of all time he is, but I'd do it again rather than vote for a socialist like John Kerry. Run a real candidate, and not someone named Clinton or Bush either.

This whole thing stinks, since 9/11 this has become a paranoid police state.

>>This has already been addressed, the actual order states

"to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:"

And who decides if someone is in significant risk of committing said acts, that's right the person who wrote the order, along with his regime.

I think should bring facts in , dummycrat, and they seem to be things your kind have a problem dealing with.

We are the frog in the pot.

THE BUSH REGIME WILL BRING US MUCH DOOM. UNPRECIDENTED DOOM.

I hope they are soon arrested, convicted and sent to maximum security cells.

* * DANDGER * * Nobody has YET been arrested who master-minded the US fake attacks on 9/11/2001 - and it's not bin Laden. Take a guess. What government group of people would plan such an evil crime and mass-murder cover-up?

Anonymous said...

Well, apparently Cindy Sheehan is in jail now after demading Pelosi impeach Bush by midnight...darn, sure thought Nancy would come thru on that one.

Anonymous said...

Now, many individuals who voted for Bush are worried about their rights being lost, when in fact, those rights were given away when this man stole office.

We needed someone like Ron Paul 8 years ago - to avoid what we're now
witnessing from this administrative body of sharks.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone really think Bush will be gone in 18 mo?

Do you think the national guard will pull the trigger when their weapons are trained on Americans?

This is going to be interesting.

The problem with the voting system is that the alternative to the second Du bya vote was a perfect example of more of the same. Croniism, fraud, powerfull friends that propelled him into government. As with Dubya, the same goes for Kerry (read what DeCamp has to say about him). One of the cronies, you just don't have a sensible choice to make as voter.

Anonymous said...

On the optimistic side... all this is predicted. History runs in cycles. The Fourth Turning is a good book on it.

We are the labor class and we are in the midst of revolting against an acquisitive elite.

Hopefully we'll do it non-violently through Ron Paul.

If not, we will find another way.

The elite are too stupid to realize it so they'll fight us every step of the way.

But we will win. Because ultimately WE are the root of all power. Their power is an illusion and we are the source.

habeas corpus

DOJ spam Alert Protect whats in your wallet
Our court systems has adjusted it's marketing plan to include a way out of the being on the registry for sex offenders.
Yes you can get off the registry.
It reads like an email from an oppressed infidel in a rich oil country with tons of money at the end of the rainbow.
All you have to do is sue your government.
following steps are necessary.
1. Sign on with the attorney who emails you.
2. Except his offer to win you twenty five million dollars.
3. Allow them to offer less.
4. Understand that the government changed the law and statutes of limitations have run out.
5. Send your check for $2, 700.00 to file a writ of habeas corpus.
Now just like the guy down the street who has so much money coming in the mail from a rich oil buddy you too can feel rich again before these sex law destroyed your life.
