Um, Dick Cheney is the de facto president, dubya is just his lapdog. The signing over of presidential powers is just eyewash.

We must rely on the sanity and honesty of the President.
Dick Cheney has already confirmed that there are four branches of the U.S. Government: Legislative, Executive, Judicial and Vice Presidential. Unlike the other three branches, the Vice Presidential branch is not accountable to any of the others.
A great opportunity has presented itself. If he wanted to, Dick Cheney could declare marshall law, silence the news media and arrest everyone in opposition to him.
However, the President can be held accountable for his treasonous acts, while the Vice President is not accountable to anybody.
With this in mind, it appears that Cheney will not create his police state while he is wearing the Presidential crown.
We will continue to live on borrowed money and borrowed time.

I certainly hope nothing dangerous is found up the presidential flue. I'd sure feel bad (well sorta bad) if they found an advanced carcinoma. I'd feel worse if they found WMD's. Will Karl be in attendance?
