Today is Iran Hostage Crisis Day #12

Twelve days of the world learning what untrustworthy, reckless and evil pricks the Iranian cult leaders are.

(I know, I know, ours aren't much better, but at least ours are on the way out)

At least they look like they are being treated better than we do to enemy combatants.

"At least they look like they are being treated better than we do to enemy combatants."

You know this because you've visited them in your capacity as a UN or Red Cross observer, or you're just talking out your arse?

Yea, I especially like the scarf they gave as a gift to the only female captive. Very Vogue. Cute.

I'll bet you also think Saddam Hussein really had the support of the 99.99% of people who voted for him.

I'm always amazed at how gullible you liberals are and how will believe everything a 3rd World dictator says but assume everything your own government says is a lie.

Jerusalem Post and Associated Press say attack on Iran on Good Friday.

Since your government has been proven to lie, it is not much of a stretch to "assume" they are lying.

I seem to recall the U.S. not letting the Red Cross have access to their prisoners....

Are the UK soldier religious? I didn't see any bibles laying around.

I suppose that scarf the female is wearing is standard UK military issue.

And what is your version? cheney took remote control of the planes, landed them at some remote location, took the passengers off and killed them or ferried them away to some secret location and then flew the planes into the towers. But wait! theres more! in case the plane impact wasn't sufficient secret agents wired the towers with explosives and weakened the structure (you need to so that only small explosive charges are needed as large explosions would be obvious). Then remotely detonate the charges to bring the towers down.

Yep, that version is much easier to pull off than hi-jacking a nearly empty plane by claiming you have a bomb and slitting a couple of throats to show you mean business. I mean, come on, how would they really be able to get a bomb on a plane. That would be WAY more complicated than the other scenario.

Oh, I left out part about the 4th plane. That was the mastermind's one mistake. They hadn't considered that the passengers would struggle with to take control of the plane from remote cheney.

Are the UK service persons trained to do as their captors say? Seems like they shouldn't be cooperating like they are.

The Botched US Raid that Led to the Hostage Crisis
by Patrick Cockburn
A failed American attempt to abduct two senior Iranian security officers on an official visit to northern Iraq was the starting pistol for a crisis that 10 weeks later led to Iranians seizing 15 British sailors and Marines.

Early on the morning of 11 January, helicopter-born US forces launched a surprise raid on a long-established Iranian liaison office in the city of Arbil in Iraqi Kurdistan. They captured five relatively junior Iranian officials whom the US accuses of being intelligence agents and still holds.

As far as the 9/11 comment, I don't think (at least I don't) believe that the US or Cheney was behind the attack. For those that do, please open your eyes. The collapse of the towers to produce 80%+ of all the material into particles 300 microns or smaller takes approximately 3.5 billion trillion joules of energy. That coupled with a debris field with a core temp of over 3000 degrees for over several weeks (yet jet A/B fuel only gets to around 1500 degrees in a highly controlled environment). So what sustained the heat over such a long period of time? Hydrocarbon fuels need air to burn otherwise they smoother. In fact the demo firm in Phoenix indicated that molten steel was found under the rubble. Do you know what temp it takes to heat structural steel to a molten state? How about the energy and time required to do this? Hint: Its several thousand degrees for several hours (minimum) and thats in a controlled blast furnace. Makes you wonder doesn't it... How about these people (they've ALWAYS been our friends - yea right)

Lavon affair
In 1954, Israeli agents working in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including a United States diplomatic facility, and left evidence behind implicating Arabs as the culprits. The ruse would have worked, had not one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to capture and identify one of the bombers, which in turn led to the round up of an Israeli spy ring

USS Liberty ....June 6th, 1967
Six fighters, three torpedo boats and two assault helicopters attacked the USS Liberty. There were 24 dead and 177 maimed. F-4 phantoms were enroute when President Johnson stopped the rescue.

Israel's plan was to blame Egypt, and have the US retaliate against Egypt.

The list goes on and on - Mossad is not our friend...
