Not in a trillion trillion years.
But she's latching (as predicted) onto the housing crash issue now, which politicians are FINALLY seeing as the #1 populism issue in America today.
So where were these idiots when something still could have been done? Uh, note to Hillary and the rest of the corrupt Congress - it's too late. The Senate investigation and hearings were needed in 2003, not 2008.
We're f'd.
"The loans need to be legitimate so people aren't strung out,'' Clinton told a group of about 20 people who gathered at a community center here.
Clinton said borrowers should have more access to counseling and unbiased advice on lenders,
loan types and refinancing options and that mortgage documents should be written in plain, easy-to-read language.
"We need clear, easily understood language in all these documents,'' Clinton said. "Enough with the confusion and complexity.''

But wait. If we make these documents more clear, then the losers feigning ignorance won't have a way out! The populist communists in Washington won't be able to find an excuse for them.
No way this will ever happen.
"How wuz I spost to no they was expectin' me to pay back that Yankee loan!"
Looks like she has a little junk in the trunk there.
Hil' to one side ('d be awesome to have a female prexy, but...) - politicians will always be in react mode. Who could we reasonably expect to be on top of this - regulatory agencies? The fourth estate (mainstream media)? Did it all happen too fast? How powerful is the RE lobby, anyway?
Hillary is the front leader of the dems and has raised the most money. She also is a socialist, and will happily spend government money (your money) to buy votes...
She is the democrat leader - you better deal with it.

She's frightening. Run that picture and she's almost sure to lose.
But talking about "clear documents" isn't the same as gov't bailing out lenders by making payments for FBs.
Big difference.
I'm all for "simple language" so that the MB can't rip off the illiterates any more than they already do.
Hillary is a conservative Democrat. I laugh at the fools who call her a Communist. But like all politicians she says one thing, and does another.
I'm a liberal feminist and I hate Clinton. She'll get fewer electoral votes than McGovern did.
Lets bail out the banks reclerks mortage crooks and the liars thieves and tax cheats who bought these houses ,that way we can completly sell out the next generation ,and make sure the next recession turns into a depression
I'm a woman and I would never vote for her - I just don't trust her. I doubt all those ultra conservative Bible belt wackos would promote a woman president. I suggest the Dems try again.
You realize if the woman just stayed in the Senate she could be a real powerhouse and a force for stability. Instead she is going to submarine her political career and her place in history via the drive to be president.
Pride comes before the fall as they say.
I would actually be a little more likely to vote for her after seeing that picture - she had the same female nerd look I had!
Of course we're talking about my chances of voting for her going from about 5% to 6% - it all depends on how bad the opposition is.
I mostly don't want to think about the next presidential election - It's too blasted soon!
Eeeewwwww, Bill married THAT?

I'm a conservative male chauvinist and I hate Bush/Cheney.
It's nice to know that some men care about more than appearances. Makes me really like Bill now
Hitlery's answer for everything is more government control over your lives and more taxes.
No matter how much money she raises, it will not matter. It's putting lipstick on a pig and she will not win the whitehouse.
But just like that other limousine liberal elitist Kerry, she wouldn't dare give up her Senate seat when she runs for president.
I think she looks kinda hot personally.
About the only way Hillary could win in 2008 is if the Republicans splinter into their component parts (Libertarians, Religious Fanatics, Wall Street Elites, White Trailer Trash) and run their own candidates. Then she might win with 40% of the total vote.
Even the so called "Liberals" think she's a phony.
Have you heard how she and Bill met in college? They were both dating the same girl.
All the democrat candidates scare me. Hillary, well, she's the anti-christ. John "McMansion" Edwards is a self-serving weasel. If Obama gets elected then us white folk can kiss our first amendment rights goodbye. Vice-prez Sharpton and his PC army will bust yo ass!
I'll just sit back and watch the world end.
She could very well win. My very smart dad who does nothing but soak up the "news" loves Hillary.
Add in Diebold, and this country is f'd.

No way. Guiliani is going to absolutely torch Hillary Clinton in the polls, regardless of his dress in drag expose and his less than Augustinian view on abortion rights.
But don't expect the Iraq nightmare to end for a long time, regardless of who is the next President. If you've got a problem with that.
Clinton's quotes in that post sound pretty dumb. She needs to stop dumbing-down all of her speeches.
For Clinton to win she has to win every state Kerry won and flip one or two red states. The list of red states that could switch to blue is pretty short. No way she wins anything in the South. Ohio, Colorado, Nevada is about it. Don't let 2006 fool you. Just because Montana and Virgina elected a Dem Senator as a protest against Bush, there is no way in hell they vote for Hillary in 2008.
On the other hand Giuliani could easily flip blue states, especially in the NE. I can see NJ, CT or NY going for Rudy. Even if they don't, Hillary will have to spend time and money defending those states, something neither Kerry or Gore had to worry about.
They way I see it, most blue states will be competitive for Rudy, but almost no red states will be competitive for Hillary. The probablities are just stacked too high against her.
Only way Hillary wins is if it comes out Rudy was the 20th hijacker and parachuted out just in time....and even then he'd win Texas.
I leaning towards Mitt Romney. He is the most intelligent out of the spectrum of candidates.
Though, I think Ron Paul is the most honest. I'd vote for him if given the chance.
Yawn. Lots of people dressed weird back in the 60's. At least she wasn't wearing a mini-skirt (shudder).
Wait 40 years. All the kids running around today with tattoo's, tongue studs, nose rings, and my favorite, the fish hook in their lip, will seem rather weird too.
If you want to find a career with good potential. I suggest tattoo removal, or learning enough cosmetic surgery to fill all the holes kids are putting in their body with those piercings.
I actually think she looks kind of hot, in a nerdy kind of way. Her pants make her look like a delicious striped candy cane, yum.
Oh My!
Here comes my lunch!
I don't think it would be a terrible idea to add $1000 to closing costs to pay for legal counsel or require homebuyers to sign an ex parte waiver. The homebuyer can hire whatever counsel they choose and an entire cottage industry would crop up. Unlike appraisers that are chosen and paid (yeah right) by the mortgage company, counsel would work in the interest of the homebuyer.
Dumbing things down is like expanding freeways - by the time you're done traffic has expanded to leave you right where you started. By the time your done dumbing everything down to the lowest common denominator, people will intrinsically step up to show they no longer meet the old standard of lowest common denominator.
Ahhhhh mamasita, if only I was 20 years older.
Don't ya just bet that smells like old pastrami!
Annie Hall for president!
