The problem is that I am er.. was.. a Realtroll and since thinking of a name requires extra energy it just goes against my natural sloth.

A name in a message makes it easier to respond to particular posts. This blog doesn't always have reasoned discourse, but at least with some kind of name it's possible to refer to specific messages when responding.
The ARM resets are stressing the pocketbooks of many borrowers. Subprime lenders are failing when borrowers default. There will be many more vitriolic rants and general expressions of unhappiness expressed on this blog and others before this is all over.
I resent that.

After posting an entry, it's not "the name" that you are interested in, but the opinion. Think of the 'anon' as the 'generic citizen of the world', it's the most democratic way for people to respond without 'exposing' themselves for whatever reason. When I read the responses, I rarely pay any attention to the name.

It is easy to type in a name… On another note: Just go and check the Pre-Foreclosures that have cropped in recently on Realty Trac and Foreclosure.com.. I am right there with the biggest of housing bears but I am truly astounded by the magnitude of this meltdown.
Just go type in zip codes from FL, AZ, CA, NV etc. etc. Big towns, small towns, rural urban every freaking where!. It’s not just the volume that’s ever growing but the fact that there are so many owners of multiple homes in the same or neighboring zip. Lots of Casey’s out there.

The International Monetary Fund sent shudders through financial markets yesterday, warning that America's sub-prime mortgage crisis could deepen and spread to other markets.
In its biannual Global Financial Stability Report, the Washington-based lender identified the sub-prime market, which specialises in lending to borrowers with patchy credit records, as one of the main threats to an otherwise sturdy financial outlook. Other risks included debt-laden private-equity buyouts, risky capital inflows to emerging markets and persistent global economic imbalances.
"The deterioration in the US sub-prime market has been more rapid than expected at this point in the cycle, and the fallout... could yet spread to other market segments," the report said. In particular, the IMF said the looser credit standards may have gone beyond the sub-prime sector into portions of the so-called "Alt-A" mortgages, the next riskiest area. And there could be losses in other consumer credit markets, including credit card and sub-prime auto loans, held by a variety of global investors, it said.
