I am an independent. I voted for Bush in 2000 while living in Florida. I was one of those swing voters in the swing state that put this guy in the White House. It will probably be the only consequential vote I cast in my lifetime, and I totally f@cked up!

It's PRESIDENT ROVE....get it straight already!!!!

Keith, can you tell you liberal pals that the Dems are worse than the 'average GOP'er" the real GOP is RonPaul, or JonKyl. Not scum like BushCo, or Mit, or McCain.

The Dems like TedKennedy and RobertByrd, have done more damage to the country than BushCo.... ok, maybe even by now, but we don't need Marxists like Hillary or 1965 Libs like Barack Hussein Obama.

WE need real men. Where have all the cowboys gone?

Clinton fired over 90 attorney generals while president. Where was the outrage and demands for congressional hearings from the biased main stream media and dems in congress then?

Anonymous said...

Failed at everything he has ever done. Anything and everything he has ever touched goes right to sh*t.

Worse yet, he is emblematic, an icon of the decline of the nation as a whole. Tragically fitting that this useless boob is the one to usher the nation into the darkness of our country's dark decline into insolvency and impotence.

Made possible by the blinded ignorance of the populace, sheeple that know of nothing beyond being convinced they must be an efficient consumer of products.

Mr. Bush and the Republican greed machine lead the way to our economic demise.

Lying a blaming on others all the way.

His over confidence and subsequent crash mirrors the nation's overconfident run up and crash scenario. Is this a trend? Was Bill Clinton's famous "I didn't have sex with that woman" have every school kid jumping for the chance to "not have sex" too??? Perhaps that's why these men are called "leaders". Lemmings have leaders too, and look where that leads them!

Why is it that Bush-wacko/neocon/couch patriots always assume anyone who disagrees with them is a "liberal" or "democrat?" The truth is that no liberal, consertavie, democrat or republican wil ever make this world a better place. Bottom line: would you like to be driven off the edge of a cliff in a Ford or Chevy? And look at the choices we have for 2008: Guliani, McCain, Hillary, Obama. God help us all! Now go back to Fox News and await your next thought instructions.

For all of you sheeples out there, McCain was part of the Keating Five:

That's why now he's so into "campaign reform". Nice try McCain. He's right though, lots of dumb sheeple out there who just watch Fox News and never read.

Personally, I like Chimpy McBushitler. I like his cowboy attitude, his humor, his straight-shootin' ways and his odd sort-of embarrasment that he's actually President. And that he gets the jihad threat. I just like the guy. And if there's one guy alive I'd wanna meet, it's the VP - Captain America himself. Look, there are no good guys in the global game, so you just oughta stand behind your own. It's the right thing to do - and you look stupid to the other guys if you don't. Ok - now you can shoot me ;o) Anyway, keeping the eye on peak oil: http://tinyurl.com/2pmu5g Have a nice day.

If these Nigerian uranium documents were fakes, and not from the Nigerian government, then who paid to have them produced?
Increasing the money supply is not the same as increasing exports productivity. Foreigners investing in the US were taking in more money than US investors investing in the global economy outside of the US for the first time as reported on CNBC recently.
Following a lieing dummy of a kick ass president does not always equal being into wealth, but may mean they give you more money that is worth less.
Pentagon venders got your tax dollars and you got a worthless war and load of debt as a legacy. Sons and daughters lost legs and arms and lives to support the liar and chief and his neo-conartists

"but Bush's tax cuts have been the most successful economic growth and opportunity work of any president in a quarter of a century."

Typical conservative ignorance.

There were no tax cuts because there were spending cuts. Bush merely delayed taxation until he is out of office. The debt he has put on the national credit card will have to be paid off, one way or another.

The country, just like the homedebtors, has been living way beyond its means since Bush came to office by borrowing.

Debt != wealth.

I have no problem with people saying Bush is a terrible president. However, to suggest that the democratic alternative would somehow be different and/or better is just childish.

The intelligent conversations on this board regarding finance and housing woes should be opening everybody's eyes. To think that all of the problems were created within the last 6 years makes no sense. To think that a host of new problems were added in the last 6 years makes a lot of sense. Although we can't turn back time, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that regardless of who was in the Whitehouse for the last 6 years we still would have more problems (degradation) coming out than going in.

I hope we all know that voting Democratic or Republican makes no real difference.

I can't believe there are still idiots out there that are defending this administration. What is particularly ironic is that they believe they are conservatives defending a conservative administration. These morons know nothing about political conservatism. Conservatives believe in balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility, not huge deficits and adding trillions to the federal debt load. Conservatives believe in limited government, not in huge federal beauracracies like the Department of Homeland Security. Conservatives believe in local control, not intrusive federal control like No Child Left Behind. Tax cuts, you say? So what? John F. Kennedy cut taxes, too. The last administration to balance a budget was the Clinton administration. Before that it was Nixon. The current administration is far more liberal than the Clinton administration was. In fact, it resembles the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt more than any other in history - waging a multi-year war, balooning the federal deficit, rapidly multiplying the federal debt, creating huge government bureaucracies, attempting to pack the Supreme Court with like-minded cronies, etc. As least with FDR we actually won the multi-year war. Just as REIC and TCDL have been added to our vocabulary on this blog, I propose henceforth we begin using LFGWB - Liberal Failure George W. Bush.

Barry Goldwater was a desert fascist too, the heat went to his head. Why does all the worst sh*t, (a raving nutter and two massive real estate scams,) that has come out the last half century, keep coming out of Arizona?

But for being on this site, all us HP'ers will get a one-way trip the nearest gulag, all profits going to Halliburton. I'll save a bunk for anon, right next to me.

Another clear example of lies and deception fostered by the those mindf*cked by right-wing ideology.

It is a FACT that Bush did not *win* anything. He was appointed by a Supreme Court decision.

Yet, this guy above expects his lie to go unchallenged. He is like so many who are indocrinated mental cyphers that know how to do nothing else but deceive.

Who cares about the tax cuts (a sham), the housing bubble (sad but necessary), the drug war (sad), the oil war (necessary). We destroy our currency and we destroy our land and we'll destroy our people with war and inflation because that's the way it goes with empires. If you think there's a better way, an alternative, you're a darling but ultimately a dreamer. History marches on and its quite unstoppable. Still, I'm glad Cheney's in charge.

Yea, GWB HyPnOtIzEd all these Americans into taking these toxic mortgages LOL LOL LOL. Many of these people are probably registered democrats, but somehow Bush made them think that they could afford a 400K house on thier 60K annual income. How else to explain it? It must be some politician's fault. It cant't possibly be that these poeple excercised their freedoms irresponsibly. Maybe Chris Dodd and the federal gov't will now have to approve our mortgages for us since many of us are obviously too stupid (or too vulnerable to GWB's mind control LOL) to do it ourselves.

Remember this from HP on March 18?

>>>And we want people to wake the f*ck up and live within their means once again.<<<

That was much more accurate than this blame the President BS.

They should knock down all the other busts at Mt. Rushmore and replace them with one huge monument to Bush on top of a giant gold pedestal. Best President we've ever had, or ever will have. He never wavered in his opinion ONCE on anything, unlike those other flip-floppers we won't name. What a brilliant leader and compassionate human being! Don't pull out, George - the middle east needs us to bring the beacon of democracy marching ever forward. And for God's sake, do not pay attention to that liberal media. PERIOD!

The Great WMD of 1964 keeps spawning new WMDs, more and more each year. Now the fools on both sides of the “what to do next?” argument keep running into each other like chickens with their heads cut off.
But afraid to confront the enemy within.

I will give you a little exercise:

Take a blank sheet of paper. Draw on it a box. Write inside the box: ”Think inside the box”.
Outside, in the perimeter, write: ”Think outside the box”.
Now, mark off a small corner inside the box and write in there: “Do not think here!”.

This is where you fools are, and where the WMD1964 was designed to put you.

Why do the right wing whackos think Bush and Cheney are real men? Both are TOTAL COWARDS that dodged Vietnam and pretend to know about warfare as if they had put their lives on the line and were bleeding on a battlefield. The only bleeding these two have done is in their tampons.

The deep hate and resentment the right wing has for the freedom and rights of people who do not have their delusional and completely removed from reality views is very self destructive.

Your support for these clowns just to "get back and make the left angry" has destroyed this nation.

One thing you can say about the man is that, after six years, he's finally living up to his self-title as a "Uniter". Both Democrats and Republicans (present trolls excluded) are now united--hell, damn near the whole country is united, in their disgust at this corrupt and incompetent administration.

And no, Troll, I'm not a liberal. My favorite president of all time is Dwight Eisenhower, if that matters to you (yeah, I know it doesn't).

"Personal income, capital gains and dividend tax rate reductions have created economic growth, significantly increased government tax receipts, and are starting to reduce the federal deficit."

There was no federal deficit when Bush came to office. Bush claiming success at cutting a deficit he himself created would be like an arsonist claiming success at pissing on a fire he or she started. It shouldn't have happenned in the first place and nothing significant is being done about it. You defending Bush's incompetence is like a Southerner defending the Civil War.

Bush has created an illusion of prosperity by running up the credit card. Homedebtors have done the same, creating an illusion of prosperity by tapping HELOCs and spending the windfall on SUVs and plasmas. Both the country and the homedebtors will be paying for years to come.

Debt != wealth.

Really, that ^^ line is not hard to understand.

liber-
Derived from Latin liber meaning "free".

From Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary:
lib•er•al
a :of, favoring, or based upon the principles of liberalism of or constituting a political party advocating or associated with the principles of political liberalism b: of or constituting a political party in the United Kingdom associated with ideals of individual especially economic freedom, greater individual participation in government, and constitutional, political, and administrative reforms designed to secure these objectives.
lib•er•al•ism
a : a movement in modern Protestantism emphasizing intellectual liberty and the spiritual and ethical content of Christianity b : a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on freecompetition, the self-regulating market, and the gold standard c : a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties.

So it appears that the lemmings have bought into this idea of associating freedom with socialism therefore the aversion to freedom (liber-tas) is firmly planted in their minds. They now mindlessly scrutinize their world spreading this brainwashed confusion of freedom and socialism, destroying the very principals that our constitution once represented.
