Well...when they proudly display (admit) their University of Phoenix degrees on their websites...
Yes...they are really that dumb.
Trust me, they're far FAR stupider. How do I know? I'm ashamed to admit it, but I am part of the REIC (I'm the marketing guy for a brokerage... yes, I'm the guy who designs those postcards you get for free donuts and other worthless shit that realtors send out every month). I hate them. They are bar none the most egotistical, no-education-having sons of bitches I have ever had the displeasure of having to work with in my life. Douchebaggery abounds in this industry like you couldn't believe. I've seen so many of them get their first big listing and before it's even been sold go out and buy or lease a big Benz or BMW. Dropping big money at the most expensive bars in town, like they're big-time players or something. Then the listing falls through and all of a sudden, they're screwed. They can't even pay their desk fees to the company, let alone their mortgage or living expenses. And the worse their money situation gets, the bigger assholes they are. Twitchy, wolves-at-the-door bastards.
God, how I want to quit and get a job in a respectable industry!
Anyone who can smoke a mirror can be a realtor, that's the problem. If anyone who had a pulse could be a doctor, nobody would trust them and nobody would use them. Why people trust the most important financial transaction of their lives to an unqualified dummy doesn't make any sense

They only exist because they can exploit someone dumber/take advantage of their insecurities. And that's the general public.
