Sam Walton...a shyster who created one of the world's most powerful corporations by selling junk made by Chinese coolies to the great unwashed American white trash scum.
No only do these flag-waving Amerri-cun stupids think they're getting a good deal, they're simultaniously putting themselves out and their children out of work.

You can't make this stuff up....

me, myself and I

They're putting themselves out of work from making mindless trash. Clothes, socks, t-shirts.

Supermarkets should be blamed for putting americans out of work from picking tomatoes and fruit then. And the americans who buy that stuff put themselves out of work!

I read yesterday that Thomas Jefferson thought that active homosexuals should be castrated. Hmmm...well I guess we can ignore that.

Plato is certainly up there.

"Despite our vast educational systems, information technologies, and media networks, despite having hordes of academics and experts, there is almost no official or public recognition that the quest for affluence and growth is the basic cause of our alarming global predicament. There is no recognition of any need to move to the Simplier Way. These themes are almost never mentioned in the media, educational curricula, or government pronouncements."

In our attempt to organize and understand history we attach an outlandish amount of significance to individuals when they are really just the largest cogs in the massive machine of human advancement. Tolstoy knew this - this is a major theme in 'war and peace'.

Excellent movie Good Shepherd. Showed what a bunch of scum the CIA is made of. All run by Yale Skull and Bones (ring a bell?).

Alexander Hamilton trumps Thomas Jefferson who was, for the most part, a complete hypocrite. Lots of examples for a future posting.

Read Hamilton's numerous bios and his letters, he was possibly the greatest American of all time... visionary, brilliant (not as in simply getting A's at Columbia which he did BTW, but smarter than a John Marshall [Marshall's words not mine]), strategic forward planner with manufacturing as the foundation for America's future success, closet abolitionist [after all, he did want to keep his day job], and military hero during the revolution. Jefferson couldn't hold a candle against his guy other than having been born rich and banging his slaves. Hamilton banged free women who could chose to say 'no'.

Top tier American political leaders from our past... Washington, Hamilton, Franklin, and Lincoln.

And from today's time period... zero!

Keith,

This is a very interesting list. I am surprised however that Johannes Gutenberg is not given his due credit. I watched a documentary on the most influential people in history, and he was ranked the highest: his very invention of printing allowed Christianity and Islam to spread to their respective levels today.

There are also Plato and Aristotle: many of today’s governments are founded on their philosophies of government.

Just a thought

Yeah right you are. Selling products cheaply sucks. I'd much rather spend 2x on the same product at Von's or at JC Penny's.

Moron.

Al Gore! started the internet, and is the founder of all blogs.

And Al's gonna save the world from the big bad polluters too...this guy's bigger than Jesus

What about John Lennon? He scared the crap outta the skull and bones.

A Sam Walton zombie...how embarrasing...wonder if he's fat, barely a high school grad and thinks WMDs are still in Iraq.
Hey STUPID!! WAKE UP!!!

Anonymous said...

another socialist who thinks WalMart is the problem because they offer low prices to consumers...sure thing bud, we'd all be better off if we all shopped at mom and pop stores where they charge 2X the price with 1/2 the selection

Anonymous said...

here are some other Sam Walton fans you moron

Harvard Business School:
http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/2375.html

Bill Clinton called him "a wonderful family man and one of the greatest citizens in the history of the state of Arkansas"

Hillary Clinton sat on the board of Walmart for several years

Sounds like this socialist was hoodwinked by what Time wrote

"As Wal-Mart's influence grew, however, and passed that of competitors K Mart and Sears, Walton began to be villainized by some, especially beleaguered small-town merchants. They rallied a nostalgic national press, which--from its perch in Manhattan-- waxed eloquent on the lost graces of small-town America, blaming that loss squarely on Sam Walton."

What's the matter did your daddy lose his 5 and dime because of big bad Walmart? Or are you so easily manipulated as to believe the k-mart/sears propaganda machine?

Moron.

I like Walmart. they are building one
just two miles from me in the really poor side of town. I welcome it and shop there. Target too.

Columbus was a drunk sailor who went looking for India and missed, by 6,000 miles. Heck he didn;t even find america which was just 100 miles away ... he landed on some dump of an island which now no one even knows what (Cat Island has 70% though I personally dont think it is). I know too cos I am Injun, and we had to go undiscovered for another 50 ears till vasco da gama came along. Imagine how we must have felt. I mean, we weren't even discovered. Was pretty sad those days. We wanted to tell people to look here, but we were not discovered yet, so like the matrix where the dude deletes Keanu Reaves's mouth ... that was Injuns - undiscovered.
Yea My vote goes to Groucho marx and all the Marx brothers as a unit. Chico and zeppo right, the best.
Cool.

I like WM too for some things.

Today I went to buy some pool supplies at WM. The cots for a 1 lb. of shock is $2.34. At the Leslie's Pool Supplies store by my home, the very same thing costs $3.29. Why do the socialists think me paying $0.95 less is a bad thing? Like taxation, god forbid I should keep an extr dollar in my pocket.

FWM lives only 2 miles from the really poor side of town. So you must be in a not so good part yourself huh?

What's so pathetic about Columbus discovering "India", from the other side, was that the Mughals (Turks and Afghans) were running the place and would have kicked his ass if he encroached from the southern side. The British won, some fifty years later, because they applied divide/conquer between semi-independent rajas and their Mughal overlords. Columbus wasn't nearly as smart as the Brits.

::Excellent movie Good Shepherd

Unbelievable film! I loved every aspect of it and the false sense of self-importance that the main character and his cohorts had. Yes, Yale Skull/Bones is a stupid aristocratic drinking club but they're all over the place including the Harvard Freemasons who'd boasted of the likes of Emerson.

Anonymous said...

Hi!
Nice info, big thx.

Anonymous said...

What about Titus Pullo who instigated the fall of the Roman Republic. You guys don't know anything.

Anonymous said...

Columbus wasn't as smart at the Brits. Neither are we, and apparently, neither are they smarter than themselves anymore.

Now that Iraq is falling apart we have many new strategies available.

We could announce, "Since the Iraqis insist on fighting amongst themselves, we will be pumping oil and taking it back to the U.S.". Perhaps this will unite the Iraqis around a common enemy.

We could choose one faction and support it.

We could set up "battlegrounds", areas outside the populated areas where antagonists from both sides could come and fight each other. You know, Kirk vs. the Gorn sort of thing. We'd provide the finest weapons available and televise the event. I'm sure CBS would pay dearly for the rights.

Our military just doesn't have any imagination anymore. It's hopeless.

Jesus Christ? Please. Without the writings of his disciples he would have been lost to history. Better to give the writers of the new testament the credit as they were the ones who most forwarded Christianity.

The very first commentary is very interesting; Lincoln and Marx.

I did a search and discovered Karl Marx's letter of congradulations to Abraham Lincoln on his Presidential victory of 1860, a truly fascinating window in history.

It is also interesting that they both shot into stardom at approximately the same time: Lincoln's arrival in New York City to deliver the famous Cooper Union speech and Marx's arrival in Paris to publish the COMMUNIST MANIFESTO.

The previous Sam Walton nomination was right one. Just read the posts on this thread by some of the losers who fervently support his scam. Fairly indicative of the millions of American semi-illiterates out there who believe they're getting bargains at Wal-Mart and to whom obtaining shoddily made Chinese consumer crap is a high personal achievement.
Lesson:
Never underestimate the mind of the American white trash underclass to make poor choices and punish itself into a life of inferiority.

Anonymous said...

Yup that's right. Only semi-literarte people like to shop at WM and buy things cheap.

The literate ones like paying $2 an apple at Whole Foods. Smart. Real smart.

Imbecile.

Anonymous said...

The smart literares also get the same crap from China. They just pay 30% more for it at department stores. They are sooooo smart.

Nope Rhoid ... that distinction goes to Tesla...

Nikola Tesla (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Тесла) (10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943[2]) was a world-renowned Serb-American inventor, physicist, mechanical engineer and electrical engineer. He is best known for his revolutionary work in, and numerous contributions to, the discipline of electricity and magnetism in the late 19th and early 20th century. Tesla's patents and theoretical work form the basis of modern alternating current electric power (AC) systems, including the polyphase power distribution systems and the AC motor, with which he helped usher in the Second Industrial Revolution.

I second Sam Walton or is third?
Who else can convince the great unwashed to buy cheap crap, hurt their own country and make personal attacks on people who point it out?
But then as they say, those who know the price of everything, know the value of nothing.
Really, such pitiful lives focused on the search for cheap goods and drowning in corporate induced materialism. American Christmas at its finest.

Saving money by buying at Walmart hurts the country eh? OK from now on instead of paying $2.99 for my Made in China POS product I will pay $3.99 for the same made in China POS prodict at JC Penny I'll do that to help my country.

On and from now on I will only buy American made cars. It seems if I buy a Honda that runs for 5 years without anything breaking, I am hurting my country. Instead I will buy an American, union-made Chevrolet which will fall apart in a few weeks of purchase and require numerous trips to the dealer for repairs. I will be helping the country by keeping all those mechanics employed huh?

You ignorant protectionist sociliast, STFU please.

Fact
Over 50% of the dependents of low-wage, no-benefits Wal-Mart workers depend on Medicaid for health care, which is paid by local, state and the fed govts (the taxpayer).
Fact
Sam Waltons heirs populate the richest rungs of the Forbes 400 as perenial billionaires and rake in tens of millions profit every month.
Message from Walton and corporation family:

Thank you American suck..er..shoppers
for patronizing our stores and providing heathcare benefits to our workers while padding our fortune.
Is this a great country of what?
God Bless America, support YOUR troops and wave those colors all over the world for the corporations who bring you cheap prices.

Why do marketeers love to rank and list everything?

Albert Pike, 33rd Degree Freemason, Confederate General, co-founder of the KKK, writer of a letter describing three world wars, the first two of which he was dead on about.

Pike brought Satanism into Freemasonry and was an avowed Satanist himself. He was the author of Morals and Dogma, an in-depth book about Freemasonry.

It's the selling of sports franchises (Bird Celtics vs Magic Lakers), movies (LoR vs Star Wars), female stars (Scarlett Johannsen vs Jennifer Love Hewitt boob sizes), etc.

Hmm, I think Al Gore may deserve more credit than you give him. I am a Republican and did not vote for him, but the science in his movie is very accurate (I have a PhD in atmospheric physics, so I feel qualified to comment on this). His solutions are idiotic and ineffectual -- why intervene if it won't help much -- but his description of the problem is nearly perfect.
