HP's been saying it for a long time - history will not be kind to the incompetent George Bush II. And now a gallup poll is out showing that the vast majority of Americans now agree with that stance.
Even Republicans should be intelligent enough at this point to realize this boob mocks your core principles: less government, less spending and competent foreign policy. Yes, he hates gays and loves jesus, but that has nothing to do with governing folks. He's done more damage to your party than Nixon. He's done more damage to the US than any president in history.
And you've been had.
Most worrisome is that this new Herbert Hoover, who has failed in every aspect of the job, unless he resigns, is impeached, or dies, is going to be sticking around as housing and economy melt down in 2007 and 2008.
Good luck Americans. You're on your own.

History's view of George W. Bush will be harsh, Americans predict.
In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday, a 54% majority says Bush will be judged as a below-average or poor president, more than double the negative rating given any of his five most recent predecessors.
Just 19% expect him to be seen as outstanding or above average, placing him last among the six. Bush, re-elected in 2004, now trails three presidents who were rejected by voters when they sought second or full terms, including his father, George H.W. Bush.

It's hard work, doing whats right for America isn't always popular, it's uh uh umm hard work, I understand, I get it alright, the polls say I'm unincompetental and that's why we must stay the course.
You are doing fine job Brownie!
I watched his rambling speech today after his options gathering exercise at the Pentagon. He looked pretty desperate to me, in body language, vocal tone and intonation. I can see why Papa Bush broke down in tears when recalling "family in difficulties" recently.
I too felt some compassion for the man. But then I'm soft.
Of course he should just resign and let us move on. Instead, yup.. he will not be told and he'll be doubling down and will want to send more troops in Iraq I bet. But I think he's getting isolated - his usual minders and enablers and neo-con groupies and gurus are either half hearted in the implementation of his wishes, perhaps stalling too, and in many cases have simply gone. Will Congress resist the expansion of the presence in Iraq ? Harry Reid said some strong things today. Lets hope he means it.

I hope everyone who supported this buffoon feels at least a little tinge of guilt for enabling this miserable failure to take down a country while he played out his oedipus complex using trillions of other people's money and thousands of other people's lives.
Bushie been a failure at everything he's touched in his life. He required his father's friends bail outs in every business venture and should have been brought up on insider trading with a few of his companies. I don't see how his supporters expected anything different this time in the office of the president. Only difference is that he had the country's money and power to play with instead of stockholders.
I'd call for him to resign but that would give us President Cheney
AAAEEEEIIIUUUUGGGHHH!!!!!!
The U.S.A. got the worst possible leadership at a critical juncture. In a time when we needed a decisive energy policy and good diplomatic relations we got neither. Greed is tearing the fabric of this country asunder from within.
(-from within)
W rocks!
Carter and Clinton sucked big donkey d#icks.
Ah, another great intelligent argument of support from the Fox News crowd
Or was that satire?
Consume more imported stuff!!
Are the Dems about to loose the Senate??? Am I suspicious?? ?? YES
Senate control hinges on 'stroke'
A US senator has suffered a suspected stroke, raising the possibility
that President George W Bush's party will regain control of the Senate.
Democratic Senator Tim Johnson's office said he was undergoing tests
at George Washington University Hospital.
The Democrats captured control of the upper house of Congress by a
single vote in elections last month.
If Senator Johnson stands down, the Republican governor of his state,
South Dakota, will name his successor.
Story from BBC NEWS:
http://news. bbc.co.uk/ 2/hi/americas/ 6178065.stm
Do you really think Gore or Kerry would have done a better job? Most Republicans held their noses when voting for Bush, knowing the alternative would have been far worse.
I won't defend Dubya, but I will defend my choice given the extremely poor alternatives at the time. The baby boomer presidential candidates have been very disappointing thus far. Perhaps they will get better with age. Or perhaps we are screwed.
As I have stated repeatedly, ignorance will be no excuse for the dumbya built scheitt sandwanch that is already built, and must be consumed by all us in the US. The people said in their votes, that they wanted it no other way, TWICE.
I always thought that the markets would be the first to expose what he has done to my country, but so far they continue to ratchet upwards onto oblivion.Inverted yield curves, 25 trillion housing bust, auto industry in shambles, manufactures, and service industry's all outsourced. they seam to make no difference.
And for someone to rate Hoover and Bush together is rediculous. Hoover, an engineer, had many things constructed. G-Dumbya on the other hand simply destroyed so many things, including much of OUR constitution, writs of habeas corpus, secret surveillance, wiretapps without warrants, deficits doubling on his watch, Standing down before 9-11 as the evidence indicates, etc. etc. etc. and the band played on, just like the one on the titanic, right before she sunk.
"The public sees this war in Iraq as a failure..."
..................................
It's really sad that the public didn't see this war in Irag as an immoral act of aggression from the very beginning. It is only now that their "team" isn't "winning" do they care.
George Bush is only a symptom of the general populace's illness.
One other thing, everyone. Before we get into more of the Republican/Democrat finger pointing and name calling, just give this a thought: THERE ARE NO TWO PARTIES.
They want you to think there is so that you will all be so preoccuped with fighting with each other over whose side is right, better, etc., etc. that they can go ahead with their agenda.
And it's worked, hasn't it?
Keep that in mind the next time you see Clinton and George the Elder playing golf together.
Dear Keith,
I am a crack dealer in Bradenton who has recently been diagnosed as a carrier
of the HIV virus. My parents live in a suburb of Tampa and one of my sisters,
who lives in Sarasota, is married to a transvestite. My father and mother have
recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana and are currently
dependent on my other two sisters who are prostitutes in Miami.
I have two brothers. One is currently serving a non-parole life sentence at
Stark for murder of a teenage boy in 1994. The other brother is currently being
held in the Manatee County Jail on charges of neglecting his three children.
I have recently become engaged to marry a former Thai prostitute who lives in
Jacksonville and, indeed, is still a part-time "working girl" in a brothel.
My problem is this: I love my fiancé and look forward to bringing her into the
family and of course I want to be totally honest with her.
Should I tell her about my uncle who voted for Bush?
'Should I tell yer about my uncle who voted for bush'
Hell no, your uncle most likely is into little boys ala Mark Foley style, as it is becoming increasingly evident, pedophilia reigns with the GOP!!! LOL
The Incompetent George W. Bush seen as a failure by the American people (and HP)
Most Americans believe that The Incompetent George Bush is boss man of the richest and most powerful nation on earth. The problem is that the US can't pay its bills and is living on borrowed money and borrowed time.
There is only one explanation for the bizarre conduct of The Incompetent George Bush:
"Those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad."
-- Euripides
anon 2:51:35,
what a perfect american family. add a little spice to it by having an illegal immigrant in-law and you will have a model family.
As was said above, there is only one difference between demoncrats and republisatans.......spelling.
With that being said, are we merely calling bush a "failure"? For Christs sake man, is'nt that putting it a little too mildly?
Jimmy Carter was a disgrace, but now he's an abomination!
He should be tried for treason!
Face it, most American men in politics and business are feminized pussies. If we were fighting WWII today, the same things would be happening. Making war is not something the leaders of this country, or for that matter the people, can handle anymore.
Like Clinton and Blair, GWB is the epitome of the "modern" political leader, sensitive and compassionate to moisten those vaginas, with just enough macho to get the male votes needed to win.
This is how decadent empires end.
Was the Dem senator poisoned?
And yet you'll still see people proudly displaying their W'04 stickers on those monstrosity SUVs.
I didn't get it then.
I don't get it now.
What in the hell were these people thinking?
We elect a President, not the Pope.
I mean, how obsessed and overly offended can one be about a blowjob provided from an intern?
Jimmy carter was a great president and even a better humanitarian. Still is, as he is the only one that talks openly about the Israeli on going colonization of land that is not theirs, bulldozing down existing homes, then building new homes, and then building fences, If only hitler had thought about that first?
Do you realize that when Carter was president the national debt stayed the same? What a concept.
And concerning another great president, president clinton; I ask this: how many died when clinton lied.
Yes, americans are now stuck with a president who will eventually leave no lie left untold. A whopper comes out everytime he opens his piehole, but don't blame me, I voted for the 5 time decorated war hero, not the AWOL ZERO! LOL
"I didn't get it then.
I don't get it now.
What in the hell were these people thinking?
We elect a President, not the Pope.
I mean, how obsessed and overly offended can one be about a blowjob provided from an intern?"
Yes, you don't get it. People like you are putty in a good politician's hands. People like you will be pushing old people into gas chambers in 20 years. People like you have no real morality or center, only trade-offs of convenience. I pity people like you.
George W Bush couldn't carry Hoover's jockstrap.
Herbert Hoover, clueless but ethical & moral, with a sterling record of previous achievement.
I mean, how obsessed and overly offended can one be about a blowjob provided from an intern?"
Yes, you don't get it. People like you are putty in a good politician's hands. People like you will be pushing old people into gas chambers in 20 years.
People who were offended by Clinton's affair are gung-ho bombing old beige people today.
You know in France (!) of course both the wife and the mistress went to the former President's funeral. So, where are all the French garlic-scented gas chambers, hmm?
Seems more that insane "homeland" fear and nationalism & warmongering leads to gas chambers, no?
Any poll that has 38% of people rating Jimmah Carter as Excellent cannot be taken seriously
Give me bj lies everytime over war lies.
What exactly is so 'moral' about sending the youth to fight and die in a war based on complete fabricated nonsence?
Lets put in simpleton terms.
What's the penalty for lying about a bj?
Now, can what's the penalty for countless, needless murder?
...And people talk about morals? Holy moley, theres a whole lot of delusion going on here...
You are right about Hoover, the more I learn about his accomplishments, the more I see how underrated he is. He got the rap for the Great Depression when in fact it was FDR's ham-handed policies that extended it by many years.
"Seems more that insane "homeland" fear and nationalism & warmongering leads to gas chambers, no?"
NO. People who can't define what's right and wrong lead to gas chambers.
What would Gore or Kerry have done differently?
Would they have spent less? This from the two people who want socialzied medicare for one and all including illegals?
Would they have told Greenspan, don't lower interest rates too much because a housing bubble may materialize, let the 2002 recession turn into a depression instead?
Would they have prevented Katrina from destroying the oil refineries that led to $3.20 gas?
Would they have stopped the 6 million new illegals that have arrived since 2000? If so why didn't Clinton do it during his 8 years?
Would they have told China to stop dumping all their crap into the US? If so why didn't Clinton do it during his 8 years?
I mean shit people, aside from Iraq - which was supported by 60% of Democrats in the House and Senate - what exactly do you think Gore/Kerry would have done differently?
At least Bush lowered my taxes - yes I am one of the "rich" according to Democrats since I make over $45K a year - and for that I will always give him at least a C+.
you guys are th dummies.. His legacy is BY DESIGN. it is on purpose. he is not stupid, he is a puppet of the puppet masters. the fate of our nation hangs in the balance. we are in big trouble in little china. i feel like expatriating to another anglo based cuntry.
Actually the great depression was caused by all that easy monetary lending by the fed that happened in the 20's, as in the roarin' 20's.
But as we all know the music played lowd, but all good parties must come to an end, and the hangover must begin, and end it did with a thud, and that hangover was a doozie. Extended Binge partying will do that you know.
Fast foward 75 years and tell me what you see? Remember this though, the realestate bust in fla. started in 1926. It too provided the early warning shot fired across the bow... ROTFLMAO, deja-vu all over again.
The fact that Bush is in office is a direct reflection of the American public's inability to do ANY critical analysis; hell, they don't even have any information about what's goin on! They are all watching sports, American Idol-type TV and eating junk food. The rest of the time they're down at the fundamental church getting told who to hate and how to vote.
I'm 57 and have never seen America in such a fucked up state. It's disgusting. Bush is just a symptom of a sick society.
Of course between 1993-2000 nobody was eating junk food, no chruches existed, no sports teams existed. Then on Jan 20, 2001 all of a sudden thousands of churches were built, the junk food industry was created and NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR and the NBA were created.
I believe out of the top ten LEADING industrialized nations in the world, only ONE, thats right one, does not provide complete healthcare coverege to its citizens for free.
Now, that one country is having a hard time competing because of outrages privatized healthcare cost coverege.
Most people are totally unaware of this as their 'liberal' media refuses to bring these things up. LOL, believe me, you will hear none of this on faux tv.
care to provide the
a) unemployment rate for past 10 years
b) gdp growth for past 10 years
c) GDP per capita
for these top 10 nations with health care
and d) tax rates
Looks to me like a fool who thinks government run health care = free health care.
I can see the thinking here. Government povides roads and they are free so roads must be free. If government provides health care and I don't have to pay for it, why it must be free.
If government can provide free health care why stop there. Why don't we have government provie free everything. Free cars, free homes, free iPods, free clothes, free food.
Damn it I want my free 80" PLASMA TV. Why the f**k ihasn't the Department of Freebies sent it to me yet? The big game is on Sunday!! Oh well, I'll just go get some free tickets to get game from the DOF tomorrow, hopefully they didn't run out.
What about Nixon? What were his ratings?
Do you really think that Kerry would have been a better president?
Let's put a democrat in the White House in 2008 so we can see what he does after Nuclear 9/11.
Again, demoncrats and republisatans, the only difference is spelling.
Actual comment heard in Office after the 2000 election:
"I voted for the cute one."
Which one was that?
Actual comment heard in Office after the 2000 election: "I voted for the cute one."
The US could provide free healthcare to all its citzens if it didn't have a military spending policy that equates to all other nations combined, and this comes from a country that could incinerate this planet ten times over with its nuks. Talk about overkill... Sheesh, again you will not hear about any of this in the 'liberal' media.
Lets weigh this out:
Free healthcare or 1 trillion US $ annually+ in military spending?
It is hard living in a fascist state. Its costly too.
$1 trillion/300 million = $3.3K per year per person. It costs 2X - 3X that amount for the kind of health care most Americans expect. Of course you might get a pretty good health rationing system for that level of spending. Just euthanize the old and let the chronically ill die like they do in some of those "advanced" EU countries, Russia, and China.
Wise up dumb ass, government can't "fix" health care any better than they can run a railroad.
As was said above, there is only one difference between demoncrats and republisatans.......spelling.
...........................
Honica, that's great!
I ask again, why stop at health care?
If the government is to be trusted with providing us "FREE" health care, why not have them provide us with "FREE" homes, "FREE" cars, "FREE' iPods, "FREE" 80" plasma TVs?
OK the plasma is a luxury good so take that away. But what about a car and a home? Both of those are neccesities for living in the 21st century.
Thinl of how many homes and cars $1 TRILLION would buy if we got rid of the military
W is a great President!
This site has become the yellow press and the outlet of liberal distortion.
I wouldn't say "great" president, but I'll take this numbskull over Jimma Carter or some imbecile envirofreak like Gore any day, Iraq or no Iraq
"It is hard living in a fascist state." - What idiot posted this?
To those few remaining Bush supoorters out there: Go F--K YOURSELVES! You may as well do it yourself because reality is coming for you and it wont be kind.
All of your friends, family and co-workers that you mouthed off to in support BushCo will remember you. All the organizations to which you gave in support of BushCo ... we will remember them. All your institutions that functioned in support BushCo ... their names are permanently etched in our minds.
Societies have myriad ways of punishing the destructive elements within them. Some are subtle and some are not but nevertheless you, your organizations, and your dearest facist institutions are about to be royally f---ked.
I will not vote for anyone who will set the U.S. on a course towards Sharia. You think those six imams were all innocent? Think again! They weren't out to hijack, they are out to use our laws and stupid PC sense against us! Tell them FOAD if they don't like it here! Stop bending over backwards to placate the murderous goat humpers!
Anon 6:41
You are one of these idiots that keeps on using the word fascist. The very fact you can express yourself freely without being killed or imprioned means you are not living in a fascist state you imbecile.
Do yourself a favor and get a dictionary. Read up on what fascism is. Then buy a History of the 20th century book and read up on what fascim actually was about.
Throwing words around like that makes a mockery of the 50 million+ people who died under real fascist regimes you fucking retard.
Excuse the language but in this case it is warranted.
Fascism- is a radical term that combines corporatism, authoritatism, militarism, and extreme nationalism.
fascism-anti liberalism.
The US today:
bigest corporate state in the world.
Stripping the constitution of its personal rights and freedoms.
Biggest military by far, as a fact as big as the rest of the world combined.
Almost banned the right to burn the flag by one vote.
Just think if they had done that we would have been one step away from being just like Iran, no make that N. Korea.
Yes, our founding forefathers would roll over in their graves if they saw what all these right wing nut jobs have doone to their vision of america, and their constitution.
OK that's it, play time on the internet is over...everyone back to the padded cell now...it's nappy time and time for the medication
The U.S.A. got the worst possible leadership at a critical juncture. In a time when we needed a decisive energy policy and good diplomatic relations we got neither. Greed is tearing the fabric of this country asunder from within.

IMHO, this is the best quote on this particular thread....
Well, they voted for him, not once but twice. Who's more stupid, Bush or the American people?
Well, they voted for him, not once but twice. Who's more stupid, Bush or the American people?
+++++++++
The Democrats DID NOT vote for Bush. The above sentence should read: "Who's more stupid, Bush or the Republican Party?"
I would vote for him again if it came to him vs. Kerry or Gore, even knowing what I know now...he may be a disaster, but Kerry or Gore would have been worse and I'm not a republican
