Casey has finally gotten past the denial stage when it comes to his financial situation. But he still has big dreams of being a real estate tycoon, so still has some way to go on the reality ladder. I'm just amazed the Fed's haven't come a calling yet - what's taking so long?
I actually like the kid and am pulling for him. Yes, he made mistake after mistake, defrauded banks out of some massive cash, committed some serious crimes, and is on his way to bankruptcy, jail and financial ruin. But he seems like a nice naive kid, just got caught up in some pretty bad stuff, having been led astray like so many by the late-night-infomercial-get-rich-quick-in-real-estate-gurus.
Why Should I NOT File Bankruptcy?
I was talking with a friend the other day abou bankruptcy. He is a fellow business owner / entrepreneur. He thinks the smart thing for me to do is to file bankruptcy and start fresh.
ItÂ’s clear my intent was never to defraud any of the lenders. I was borrowing with the intent to pay it back. Because of my inexperience I made some mistakes and got into trouble. This is a typical business startup situation. Most succesful business owners have failed several times before finally succeeding. (Only losers quit after their first failure.)

My advice is that if you keep large sums of money on hand write: "this is not illegal drug money" on the outside of the container so the guvmint doesn't steal it.

You've got to be kidding me! I think the fact that you've made personal contact with Casey has clouded your judgement. Remember all your talk about people who should be flipping burgers but instead are trying their hand at real estate? Casey is the poster child for this conundrum.
I went to college to get an engineering degree and grad school to get my MBA and have a dozen years of HARD WORK under my belt just to be able to make 6 figures. Yet you want to tell me that some lazy ass, lying, no good punk who probably doesn't even have a GED and wants to be an overnight mogul deserves my pity. What does he know about economics, let alone math, that makes him qualified to do anything besides flip burgers.
FUCK HIM. I hope he gets what he deserves. I hope he goes to jail and his wife leaves him now that she knows the LOSER that he is. Getting kind of bored here making you look like a fool. But if you must know, my wife is stunningly beautiful, a doctor and an athelete. I'm actually quite lucky to have her.
If your dad is already rich that would explain why you've been continued to allowed to run around like a fool. If he gets smart, he'll stop feeding your addiction so you can file bankruptcy and then get on with your life. BK is not such a bad thing. Chalk it up to experience. And yeah, a degree is not everything. But hard work is. You'll eventually find that out.

The beauty of the internet is anyone can be an engineer pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars, even if they are really some filthy indigent clothed in tattered rags posting from a library public terminal. Are you really communicating with Casey, or are you actually being trolled?

No, I actually have an engineering and an MBA. I work for a manufacturing company as a marketing manager. I also help my wife manage a small medical clinic she started and donate my time working on the board and as the CFO for a small non-profit. The non-profit doesn't make me any money but its a worthwhile cause and its been cool to get some board level experience.
BTW, I like how Casey likes to throw back some fithly language then uses "God Bless". Such a poser.
Oh well, doesn't really matter. Sounds like his Dad will just float him the cash he needs while he goes through BK. Daddy to the resucue. It's really no different than the story of mortgage brokers using the SS#s of the homeless and indigent to buy and sell houses. Gains go to the brokers and losses just end up being bank losses cause no one's going to get a dime from the homeless and indigent.
Basically sounds like Casey's just a front for his Dad. Any money he makes his dad will keep for him and then Casey will just do the BK since he ain't going to make it. I could do the same thing with a few losers I know but I'm not that greedy.

Well I've thought some more about my situation tonight.I made some mistakes but I'm on track to be a millionaire soon. Go ahead and keep takeing your cheap shots at me.
