Olbermann: Bush Owes us an Apology

This speaks for itself. Nice to see someone else saying "the emperor is not wearing clothes"

this guy blows. You hate Fox News, but you like this guy. And you claim you are not left.

gold down, oil way down, stocks way up (housing stocks too), Iran not that scary sounding lately, and the dollar stronger. That would make you about 100% wrong in the last 8 weeks Keith. Glad you dont trade my book. Amazing that the other stupid left, lib, dem trader-wanna-be's listen to your calls on this blog and cheer you on. Your catching falling knife thread about gold and oil was classic. You wanted to sound so Gordon Geckko. You so want to be a hot shot trader guy. C'mon Borkafatty, Richard, and all you other tools, let's go!

New Banker, commodity trader guy from NYC telling you all to GFY. Bush in 08' btw (no shot winning congress either bitches)

Most gays, losers, perma-renters, welfare recipients are liberals and vote for the dems. Since I'm none of the above, I vote for anyone other than a dem.

I wonder if someone in the whitehouse will keep explaining Olbermann's words to President Bush until he understands the critique.

MLK Jr. said it best: violence begets violence or, put another way, you create your enemy's hate.

I wish Bush would reflect on that a bit so he stops creating a dysfunctional world.

This KO rant is an over-hyped cavil. Did the president really say he opposes "thinking"? No. It's just a colloquialism in an extemporaneous answer. You can pick apart any offhand expression in any unscripted answer and run up a high dudgeon about it. Serious critiques should be encouraged but this breathless, overblown diatribe isn't that.

Tiny brains don't like Olbermann because they don't want to have to think, they would much rather just be told who to hate.

Anon Thursday, September 21, 2006 11:47:42 AM,

Not that Keith needs any help defending his investement decisions, but he said he was buying Gold, Oil and Silver on 9/14 when GLD closed at 57.19, USO closed at 57.77, and SLV closed at 107.

GLD is now at 57.50, up 0.5%, USO is now at 55.50, down 4%, and SLV is now at 110.00, up 3%.

Hardly as bad as you want to think he's doing.

....and saying Bush in '08, wow, that is just way too inane to want either term limited GW or non-interested Jeb as your next president. You really should try to move to Cuba or some other country with a monarchy where you can be ruled over by only one family and feel safe and secure in your allegiance to the crown.

If you are a new banker, commodity guy in NYC as you claim, you have some hard, hard lessons you are about to learn. That profession in that city doesn't treat stupidity with a whole lot of mercy. Good luck.

Bush & his administration deserve to be ripped, but seriously, K. Olberman? He's an ex-ESPN frat boy announcer, failed in his network shot, and bombed in his current slot. If you can't see his current take is an attempt to get ratings ala Stewart & Colbert, you are a perfect HSN viewer. If this plastic teleprompter-fed phony is
now the beacon of truth, we're really in trouble.

"Bush & his administration deserve to be ripped, but seriously, K. Olberman? He's an ex-ESPN frat boy announcer, failed in his network shot, and bombed in his current slot."

So who do you suggest as the best/most appropriate broadcaster to rip Bush?

What specialized people with special degree/success do you require to criticize Bush? I hope you realize you've just most likely excluded yourself.

Anonymous said...

Olberman is the best! The only person who is serious on the tube, that will rip into the lies being promulgated by this administration and parrotted by the msm. If you still believe the lies from the bushies you might as well believe in Santa or the easter bunny

As a conservative voter I enjoy watching The Colbert Report because Colbert is a funny guy, a true satirist. I'd guess he beats Oberman's IQ by at least 50 points.

Oberman is an ignorant drudge by comparison, and the ratings of his "news" show prove it.

Anons 4:18 & 4:28 -- I made the KO frat-boy post, and I stand by my point that he is an empty suit with no history of holding an independant opinion about anything other than how the Cowboys will do on Sunday. His opinins are contentless rants, which I'm sure satisfies you in the same manner as the second-hand thrill gained from cheering the local team to victory.

Intelligent criticism of Bush is easily found in print (NYT, Economist), radio (NPR), and TV
(network, BBC, not US cable. However, if the KOs of the world, left or right, are going to set the bar for political debate, we're all in trouble.

I beg to differ. Actually the only intelligent criticisms seem to be coming from the Stewart-Colbert camp. Olberman is the only person who is showing the outrage many of us on the left feel. The he said she said or flat out stating talking points has been the content of msm drivvle as of late. Msm news reporters are all lamos anymore.

As for KO being an empty suit, well he writes much of what he says and I think it is well reasoned and coherent unlike the empty suit in chief.

Keith Oberman reminds me of Max Headroom. Scripted, somewhat creepy, and too much makeup. No wait I take that back, Max was computer-generated, and Oberman just doesn't have as much personality.

To find humans with a brain smaller that KO, you'd have to go back at least 500,000 years. The man is a moron. He was still ranting about a rigged election two months after Kerry conceded!

Anonymous said...

Kerry's concession has nothing to do with the reality of the shennanigans that occurred in Ohio in 2004. He was just dialing on to 2008.

The irony is that the president would still have won the popular vote only to lose the electoral college.

If that is the case, everyone else on cable news is not even human, then, and instead a bunch of trained monkeys.

Actually, that does seem plausible.

Dem's or Rep's.....who cares? You don't need to qualify under a party to understand that this country has been lead down a manipulated path that doesn't seem to have plan of correction. Bush has let his own ideals and beliefs get in the way of the american public's. THAT is not how you run a nation. Shame on us, however, for putting him in position to rule this country yet again. Forget that KO is the guy that rips on Bush....you know what, if you want to rebut, get your own show or shut up. At least he has the balls to say what 63% of americans are thinking now. The sad part about that percetage is that I am sure that Bush gets at least 10% of the vote just for going to church. (Yeah you, out there in the midwest). Open your eyes people, you are being decieved. Living in the 21st century we have the ability through various media outlets to know more about what is going on in the world and what is going on domestically. Did this type of bogus presidency happen before.....of course it did. But everyone was decieved back then because they only new what was printed in their local news papers or on the 3 channels that their TV got. (If they had TV). It would be an atrocity if knowing what we know now through all of our media outlets (Pro or Anti Bush) that we could not make a educated decsision about how our country is being run and the perception of our country aboad. Hate KO all that you want, the truth is he is on of the Holden Caulfield's of our time. If you don't know what I mean.....get yourself an education.

George Bush needs to be tared and feathered and drag back to Texas behind a Ford F-150.

Too bad republicans are all cowardly followers.
