Someone's got some 'splainin' to do

"Sellers in many areas of the country are pricing to reflect current market realities" - David Lereah, after yet another horrific housing report, August 23, 2006

"Far from a real estate “bubble,” what we are experiencing today is a phenomenon that takes place only once every other generation: a long-term real estate market expansion" - David Lereah, in "Are You Missing the Real Estate Boom" - February 2005

"I refuse to answer the question on Fifth Amendment grounds" - David Lereah, at the 2008 Housing Bubble Congressional Hearings, February 2008?

you are such a tool. He doesn't have to explaon anything. He can say whatever he wants, just as you can. It is just one man's current opinion on the market. Why do you bitter, liberal, Dems always have to blame somebody? Grow up.

why do people think I'm a liberal dem? Guess they don't read the blog

You are correct - Lereah can say anything. But he is discrediting an entire career (realtor), he pumped the market so his investments could appreciate (he buys condos and houses then tries to flip them), and I'm betting he'll be involved in some insider trading relationships with the REIC that will be exposed during the 2008 hearings

He is the Henry Blodgett of the housing bubble

Becuase some people are so whacked out that they will follow a party like a lemming and if it doesn't sound like it came from the talking heads of the party they follow, you must be from the other party. Message to that fool. Anyone who is a member of either of these 2 political party's is a COMPLETE 100% FOOL.

Like that little kid I saw on 60 minutes or Dateline that got pinched for pumping and dumping penny stocks online, he may get his yet.

They should have let the kid go, though.

The problem is, foobeca, that people believe his lies and make their largest purchase (a home) based on what is coming out of his mouth. Come back two years later, these people have foreclosed, and lost everything.

This man is lying out of his ass, and causing a lot of pain for many people. I beleieve that should be grounds for legal action.

I happen to be a Repulican and a conservative, yet I agree with Keith on this one. David "soft landing" is reporting false numbers and spinning things so they seem normal, when in fact they're far from normal. That's deception in my book, how can he not be accountable for this?

It's like the fire chief yelling fire in a crowded theatre only in reverse. Guy is in a position that makes him likely for the masses to trust. Titantic captain sees iceberg, knows danger of iceberg, yet, tells band to play on.

David Lereah might want to read my new book:

"Are you missing the Real Estate Crash? Well, good on ya!"

Or not. He might not have the time. All those statues of St. Joseph aren't going to bury themselves...
