A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

A poem by the 13th century Persian poet Saadi
"humans are members of the same body
all created from the same essence
if one limb is in pain
others cannot be at ease
if you are indifferent to other people's pain
you cannot be called a human"
And a few more from one of histories greatest humans and humanist Albert Einstein...
"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
"The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking...the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker."
I should have stayed in England.
Hey you ever heard of such a thing as an IO ARM?
"Time to buy GOLD!"
It will come back in the fall.
Someones going to be signing my shoes in 2 years when I sell the 600k condo I bought for double.
What were you smoking Richard?
Agree - Gold is the next bubble - but has a long way to go. . .remember what Warren Buffet said, "the reason I am so rich is because I sold too soon.". . .so when everyone says "gold to $2000" it is time to sell. . .my prediction - Gold to $1000
Yikes...The Internal Revenue Service SAYS I OUE...THEM .....THAT MUCH MONEY ??????
"Now's the best time to buy- the fed paused on rates, the builders gonna give me 50K off the listed price and he's gonna throw in a new car, a plasma tv, and a carribean vacation."
The shoe shin guy is thinking......
This time next year, I'll be charged $279.99 for this shoe shine.

I'd be carefull with too much wishfull thinking. If you are buying a new house you will still be getting a cheap piece of crap.
I would be looking a little more closely at the builder's material list and checking the quality of the labor. If it is a $400,00.00 house, that builder is still making over $80,000.00. The builder's profit this year will probably be your loss next year.
I agree with Anon 5:04:11. We have friends who bought the so called McMansion house and guess what; exterior stucco cracks real bad, roof cracks, problem with plumbing, etc.
Desperata
Go flaccidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember you are unique, just like everybody else.
As much as possible don't use big words,
where diminutive ones will suffice.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and press any key to continue or any other key to quit.
Realize that change is inevitable,
except from a vending machine
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
but don't turn the other cheek - it's just as ugly.
Always remember that 2 wrongs don't make a right,
but 3 lefts do!
There always will be greater and lesser persons than yourself,
for half the people of the world are below average.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
However, a bad day at Disneyland is still better than a good day at work.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
Be sure to do unto others, before others do unto you.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
for beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder,
and don't look back, they may be gaining on you.
If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. No use being a fool about it.
Be yourself. Save your breath.
You'll need it to blow up your date.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Always ask "Your handcuffs or mine?"
Neither be cynical about love;
Remember that God gave us orgasms
so we would know when to stop screwing.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
When all else fails, a hammer can be considered a PC Tool.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
When in doubt, empty the magazine.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Remember, it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4 to pull the trigger of a decent sniper rifle.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness,
or just plain being too ugly.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself and please put your hand on the screen and FEEL my healing power.
We are all Cthulhu's children.
Especially those of us with tentacles.
You have a right to be here,
but you eat too much - it's keeping you alive!
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Nature is cruel. If you don't believe me,
look in the mirror.
You can cheat on your metaphysics exam
by looking into the soul next to you.
Above all, remember, the squeaky wheel awakens Cthulhu.
Therefore be at peace with God
even if you're all insane and trying to steal my magic bag.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
your going to die anyway.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
Deny everything.
But most important remember the words of the great philosophers:
To do is to be. - Descartes
To be is to do. - Voltaire
Do be do be do. - Sinatra
And finally remember: It puts the lotion in the basket, or it gets the hose again
and perhaps you should flee in terror. Yes, I think that would be best.
Optimist: Dem real-estate scammers won't be buying any new shoes, they'll be needing lots of polishing of their old ones!
Pessimist: They'll be asking ME for 6% commission plus tips, those pathetic MF'ers.

Ya buddy!!!! now pass the glue back this way!!
I should have told Joe Kennedy when he stopped by.
Joe is finally out of rehab? Sheesh that was a quick recovery.
I should have raised interest rates!
Wonder if i should sell my enron, and worldcom stock before the market goes down?
