I live and work in a conservative, republican, rural area and the number of die-hard conservatives I meet who literally
hate his lying guts and are not hesitant to tell you is amazing. And most of them voted for him twice!!! I try to talk them into doing their homework and vote independent next time. Anything except the Rethug and Democrap 'good ole boys' clubs.

You lefties are so retarded it's incredible. Did you morons ever think to consider that the reason so many conservatives hate Bush is BECAUSE HE'S NOT CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH!!!!

It's amazing to me that you morons think you somehow have a chance to get back into power because of unhappiness by conservatives and independents with Bush. They're not unhappy with conservatism, but want someone who will more aggressively advocate its positions than Bush has.

I'm LMAOL because you puss*** think that because conservatives and Independents are unhappy with Bush, they might vote for the America & God hating, everyone is a victim, jackass party.

Yeah, sure, that's what we'll all do. Keep thinking that and Keep Howard the Duck Dean at the helm of that Titanic you call the Democratic party - Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

That is what my conservative friends are talking about. Not only do they feel Bush is not in any way conservative enough, but that he has betrayed almost all of the principles of conservatives. If they vote democratic, and most have indicated they will, I believe that it will be to "punish" their republican party who they feel has lost its moorings and betrayed THEM by mindlessly, unquestionly, following GW and giving him everything he ever wanted. Funny how these opinions come so quickly from the very same people who, at the polls, gave Bush two terms in office and a republican majority in congress! Feelings of betrayal lead to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to doing things that might not be in your best interest. Fame is fleeting. Fate is fickle, indeed!
In PA, at one time, we actually had a conservative, republican party. Now they are simply "tax and spending" democrats in republican's clothing. No difference between the two parties at all! Hence my choice to push people to vote independent, however radical, whenever possible.

Bush is neither conservative nor liberal. He is an authoritarian statist, and the Republican Party has become the sort of personality cult associated with other authoritarians, like Peron, Mussolini, Saddam Hussein, etc.

Approaching Bush through a left/right lens just doesn't work, because he is not an ideologue in the usual sense. His only conviction is that all power and wealth rightly belong to him and his class. Every action of his administration stems from that one belief.

I miss republicans - ones who wanted government off the backs of the people, who were for dramatically lower government spending, who didn't see the government as the answer.

I want that Republican party back

What we have today, I'm not sure what it is. Big government, big spending, incompetent foreign policy, and bizarre social issue views. That's just a mess.

I have to poke fun at all of you people who call yourselves “Conservative Republicans” or “Liberal Democrats”. Do you not know that the Democratic Party has its roots with the American Southern Baptists and was originally regarded as the “Conservative Party”? Conservative: Striving to keep the existing social order. Even more hilarious is the fact that the Republican Party has traditionally been the party of Liberalism: an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value. So why have the parties changed 180 degrees in the last 100 years and why are you all so stupid? It is because the parties have little regard for any principals besides organizing and getting elected. Power is the guiding principal of our politics as the sheeple self identify with the partisan sound bytes and support their team with the intellect of a raving sports fanatic. Divide and conquer!! HA HA Visit the true American Party now!! www.LP.org

It's called Cult of Personality...

Look into my eyes, what do you see?
Cult of personality
I know your anger, i know your dreams
I've been everything you want to be
I'm the cult of personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy
I'm the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality

Neon lights, a nobel prize
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You don't have to follow me
Only you can set me free
I sell the things you need to be
I'm the smiling face on your t.v.
I'm the cult of personality
I exploit you still you love me

I tell you one and one makes three
I'm the cult of personality
Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi
I'm the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality

Neon lights, a nobel prize
A leader speaks, that leader dies
You don't have to follow me
Only you can set you free

You gave me fortune
You gave me fame
You me power in your God's name
I'm every person you need to be
I'm the cult of personality

NOW you know why so many people voted for Bush. The man in the Whitehouse is an impostor. I have been trying to tell anyone who would listen, the best way to persuade those who voted for Bush to join you is to use Bush's own words.

I don't understand why liberals hate Dubya so much. He's one of you.

Voted for him in 2000. Abstained in 2004. That was probably playing into his hands as he is pro-abstinence. Just re-registered, leaving the Republican party to become an independant. Hope our current "leader" doesn't start WWIII before we can get rid of his sorry ass in January of 2009. That's a long way though.
