A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

is there anything worse than code red?
Did I miss something?!!
Whats this all about?
Keith, I thought you had officially declared a panic/code red on:
10/01/05
12/31/05
1/21/06
3/07/06
5/05/06
8/22/06
Which one is it? I'm going to assume you are going to stick with 8/22 (for now).
too much bad news on housing - when it's over it's over
Jessep: You want answers?
Kaffee (Tom Cruise): I think I'm entitled to them.
Jessep: You want answers?
Kaffee: I want the truth!
Jessep: You can't handle the truth!
Kaffee: Did you order the code red?
Jessep: (quietly) I did the job you sent me to do.
Kaffee: Did you order the code red?
Jessep: You're goddamn right I did!!
Housing needs to die out. It isn't good for the economy. Not only has it overstated indicators like unemployment rates, it has understated the horrid job growth of the last 5 years, which has caused major hidden unemployment among college grads and manufacturing.
There is a rage brewing, a hatred that needs to be released. The time is right for the next Hitler.
Anyone else notice the local anger towards illegals? The other shoe will soon drop.
Operation Wetback in the 50's Eisenhower evicted millions of Mexican's 500+ miles deep into Mexico.
Similar thing happened during the Depression.
Wages ARE being depressed today due to illegal immigrants.

this blog cracks me up. no, wait, this blog makes me cry. no, wait, this blog makes me want to grab by smith & wesson and head for cover
HP is allowed to raise the threat level anytime the gov does. What does the raised threat do? The same thing it did last time.
a housing threat level system - brilliant!
Nice! if August of 06 is code red Panic Alert: 07 should be the beginnings to the Depression for sure.
Oh and here is another panic type situation:
Marines to issue involuntary call-ups
The U.S. Marine Corps said Tuesday it has been authorized to recall thousands of Marines to active duty, primarily because of a shortage of volunteers for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Up to 2,500 Marines will be brought back at any one time, but there is no cap on the total number of Marines who may be forced back into service in the coming years as the military battles the war on terror. The call-ups will begin in the next several months.
There are about 59,000 Marines in the IRR, but the Corps has decided to exempt from the call-up those who are either in their first year or last year of the reserve status. As a result, the pool of available Marines is about 35,000.
you have to wonder if these folks are being called back to serve in Afghanistan or Iraq...or perhaps another military misadventure.

By the time W and his right-wing christian buddies finish this presidential term, they will have quadrupled the number of hate-dripping muslims fanatics who live only for sowing death and chaos in the US and Israel.
Yes, George. You and Pastor Hagee will have your ME conflagration. Let's hope the fragile, hollowed out US economy survives.
Idiots.
Is there any thing worse than a code red? Duh, a Code Blue!
Hey Borkafatty, the next misadventure is that they are coming for you. I sent some of your prior postings to Homeland Security and they have expressed interest in following up with you. Let us know on this site how it all goes.
K-mart's blue light special!

Sweet come and get me I could use a vacation.
Oh and Anonopuss do me a favor and pass this on to the Homeland Sweet hearts also.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
In my mind, Code red is this:
When people said property values would never ever drop in New York, this happens:
http://www.nypost.com/business/unsold_manhattan_apartments_at_10_yr__high_business_tom_bawden.htm
And this:
"Williamburg: BREAKING: After repeated price choppings, the Wire has received word that 55 Berry is going rental. Certainly explains why the listings are no longer listed by Corcoran." (www.curbed.com)
Fun fun fun. I can't wait to watch all 1000 new brooklyn developments get major haircuts or go rental.
'The Crash'! Bring an extra pair of pants! Why? When it happens you'll know?
Keith is like the Federal Governement. Whenever they need to garner attention, they raise the "threat level" or announce that they've foiled another terrorist plot that could have rivaled 9/11. Give us a break Keith. There will be a crash, but I sincerely doubt that Keith will be able to predict it. I believe Keith's "red alert" is regarding the "Fed" President annoucing that interest rates may have to increase further to tame inflation.
Damn it Jim! I said "he's dead", not go to "code red".
nyc_cop - if more people are trying to list and sell their houses, that will increase the demand for RE agents. They work mainly on commission, so it's Glenngary Glennross time...
nyc_cop, you are a cynical bastard, but I think you are correct. It's also called "musical chairs." What does the broker care that there are a lot of feet and not many seats? The only concern is getting more feet to "A-B-C!" Glengarry gets more real everyday. I actually kinda feel sorry for the twits. I mean, they are twits, but they're still people.
nyccop - they "hire" real estate agents because they don't actually "hire" them. They work for no salary, commission only, so a realtor is best off if he can find 10000000000 suckers (I mean agents) to do his dirty work, then pay them a cut if they make any sales
brilliant
NY Cop - the agents are not just trying to sell the office's listings, they get commission on any real estate they sell. So they want the maximum number of people to bring in more buyers and sellers. Unless you are talking about selling units in a new development or something, I have no experience in that and perhaps it works diferently.
Hey Brokersleaveyoubroke, did you ever think that maybe others can't stand morons like you and Borkafatty? We've all seen both of your idiotic postings as well.
