Are you ready to see the corrupt and incompetent Kofi Annan plant a big wet kiss on Hitler II (Ahmadinejad) this week?

Well, if you aren't, get ready... I think he's putting on lip gloss as we speak...

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan is to visit Iran next Saturday, the Iranian foreign ministry has confirmed. The visit will come two days after a UN deadline for Iran to suspend uranium enrichment and amid fears it is trying to develop a nuclear bomb.

Is Iran's President Really a Jew-hating, Holocaust-denying Islamo-fascist who has threatened to "wipe Israel off the map"?
Putting Words in Ahmadinejad's Mouth
By VIRGINIA TILLEY

Johannesburg, South Africa

In this frightening mess in the Middle East, let's get one thing straight. Iran is not threatening Israel with destruction. Iran's president has not threatened any action against Israel. Over and over, we hear that Iran is clearly "committed to annihilating Israel" because the "mad" or "reckless" or "hard-line" President Ahmadinejad has repeatedly threatened to destroy Israel But every supposed quote, every supposed instance of his doing so, is wrong.

The most infamous quote, "Israel must be wiped off the map", is the most glaringly wrong. In his October 2005 speech, Mr. Ahmadinejad never used the word "map" or the term "wiped off". According to Farsi-language experts like Juan Cole and even right-wing services like MEMRI, what he actually said was "this regime that is occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

What did he mean? In this speech to an annual anti-Zionist conference, Mr. Ahmadinejad was being prophetic, not threatening. He was citing Imam Khomeini, who said this line in the 1980s (a period when Israel was actually selling arms to Iran, so apparently it was not viewed as so ghastly then). Mr. Ahmadinejad had just reminded his audience that the Shah's regime, the Soviet Union, and Saddam Hussein had all seemed enormously powerful and immovable, yet the first two had vanished almost beyond recall and the third now languished in prison. So, too, the "occupying regime" in Jerusalem would someday be gone. His message was, in essence, "This too shall pass."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has openly called for Israel to be wiped off the map.

"The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world," the president told a conference in Tehran on Wednesday, entitled The World without Zionism.

"The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land," he said.

"As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map," said Ahmadinejad, referring to Iran's revolutionary leader Ayat Allah Khomeini.

His comments were the first time in years that such a high-ranking Iranian official has called for Israel's eradication, even though such slogans are still regularly used at government
rallies.

as always, anon, watch your sources. Miss Tilley is an affirmed anti-jew, israel hater. But then again, you wouldn't know that

The case for boycotting Israel by Virginia Tilley

The Zionist worldview is an even more complete system. All historical and geographic details are provided to create a total mythical world, in which Jews have rights to the land and Palestinians have none. It is a fully realized construction, like those Hebraized maps carefully drawn by the Zionist movement in the 1930s to erase the ancient Arabic landscape and substitute Hebrew biblical references. It is also very resilient. The "new historians" have exposed the cherished national historical narrative of 1948 and 1967 as a load of fictions, but the same fictions are still reproduced by state agencies to assure Israeli and diaspora Jews of their innocence and the righteousness of their cause. The vast majority of Israelis therefore remain comfortable in their Truman Show and even see any external pressure or criticism as substantiating it. We need no more graphic evidence of that campaign's success than the overwhelming support among Israeli Jews for the present catastrophic assault on Lebanon, reflecting their sincere beliefs that nuclear-power Israel is actually under existential threat by a guerrilla group lobbing katyushas across the border. Staggering to observers, that belief is both sobering and instructive.

Keith, I think it is you who should think about your source. Al Jazeera, operating out of the neo-colonial occupied puppet state of Qatar, is an anti-Iranian entity. They refuse to refer to the Persian gulf as such, and call it the Arab gulf. They abhor Shia. As an oligarchy they are threatened by the democratic institutions of Iran.
I am familiar with Tilley's previous work and don't see what is "jew hating" about it.
Would it be White hating to oppose aparthied with a boycot?

Naturally, the common people don't want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

(Hermann Goering)

Once again we are being prepared for another devastating war in the Middle East. A terrorist group is "allegedly" discovered planning to blow-up 6 aircraft in UK .Another group is "discovered" in Germany planning to blow-up a train .Then UK warns whole Europe about the threat of terrorism .Then there are "loud" accusations that Iran has been trying to buy Uranium from Congo followed by a small retraction .Then there is the release of the 9/11 sound tapes of the fire-fighters along with the release of the emotional movie "9/11". And finally we have the President of the United States warning us about the threat of Islamo-Fascism.

We are constantly reminded that our very lives are in danger. If it is not the threat of poison gas, anthrax, conventional explosives, dirty radiation bombs then it is some unexplained clear liquid. The favourite target is of course aircrafts, or was it trains, or may be it was ships, or was it tunnels? There is no end to the methods that the terrorists use and places that they could kill us in (read "The Great Deception"). And despite all the wars and billions and billions of dollars that governments are pouring into this war on terror, it seems that we are no safer now than we were in 2001. And every so often Mr. Bin Laden or his lieutenants come on TV to tell us that they are still in Afghanistan. How on earth Mr. Bin Laden, that needs dialysis machine to stay alive, has managed to hide for three years in Afghanistan is beyond me. He must be a very clever man indeed.

But like the hated "Goldstein" of George Orwell’s "1984", Mr. Bin Laden is alive and well and his organisation can still scare us witless.

"The charge of anti‐Semitism. Anyone who criticizes Israeli actions or says that pro‐Israel groups have significant influence over U.S. Middle East policy—an influence that AIPAC celebrates—stands a good chance of getting labeled an anti‐Semite. In fact, anyone who says that there is an Israel Lobby runs the risk of being charged with anti‐Semitism, even though the Israeli media themselves refer to America’s “Jewish Lobby.” In effect, the Lobby boasts of its own power and then attacks anyone who calls attention to it. This tactic is very effective, because anti‐Semitism is loathsome and no responsible person wants to be accused of it."

Ahamanijad's native language is Farsi, not Arabic.

The fact that he is a Holocaust denier is unambiguous proof of dangerous lunacy.

Holocaust deniers, deep in their hearts of heart, know perfectly well that what everybody else says happened, really did happen.

The difference is that the ""deniers"" inevitably think it was a great idea.

Empirical evidence: How many "holocaust deniers" like Jews and empathize with them?

Why aren't they saying, "hey dudes, stop being so pessimistic about the Holocaust. We're doing great, we beat those nasty Nazis, we came out pretty well."

All historical and geographic details are provided to create a total mythical world, in which Jews have rights to the land and Palestinians have none

Israel thinks that it's fine that Arabs have plenty of land and states, they made peace with the two that are willing.

It is the maps of Fatah and Hamas and Iran and Syria and Lebanon which are mythical constructs showing no Israel. Palestinian TV shows delusionary movies and presents as "fact" delusionary archaeologists who insist that the Temple really is somewhere down in the Sinai and that whole area in Jerusalem never ever had any Temple or Jews in it, as if people just "lost" a whole city.

this regime that is occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time.

By "this regime" he does not mean a specific government or political party, but "Jews".

Their definition of "occupation", means "Jews living anywhere in 1000 km". Really.

By definition a Jew living in any modern state in the Levant is a Zionist.

How many of these Imams or whoever people say---to their own people--- "We want a state where everybody, including Jews and Arabs have full and equal rights, we don't want to expel or kill anybody, we want to integrate everybody."

Exactly zero.
The above is the delusionary fantasy only of a few western leftists.

They'll promote that as the ideal (it is a great ideal, maybe possible in 2400 AD) as rhetorical armor to protect themselves from criticism as the crap goes down.

When the extermination comes they'll of course tut-tut against the nasty Arabs but blame the Jews for not going along with their suicide sufficiently peacefully.

What do the "Zionist haters" propose as their Solution instead?

They seem to mention no explicit plan but they harp on 'martyrdom' and 'resistance' forever, and frequently remind their listeners about the Koranic history of prohet Mohammed. He made a truce with a Jewish city (whose location now line in Saudi Arabia!), and then later when he got his army's strength up he exterminated them because they wouldn't alter their religion and accept him as Prophet.

Survey Says?

What is actually said is more on the lines of "slit the throats of the sons of pigs and monkeys".

MEMRI isn't right wing, it has accurate language translations of Arab and Farsi language media. Sources are provided and are checkable. Editorials are few. They publish sources from Arab liberals who oppose theocracy and militancy.

The fact is that the contents of many original sources in original language, and not PR massaged messages intentionally crafted for the West, make non-crazy readers "right wing" about certain issues.

"Amadinejad is misunderstood"

That's right, he doesn't want a war now. He will wait until they can put a few nukes in his back pocket. Iran will of course never use a nuke directly, that would be suicidal and dumb. Instead they will find a way to slip the necessary materials to one of their splinter groups who will gladly do the dirty deed.

Then we'll have the "Was it Osama?, Was it Iran? Was it N. Korea? Was it GWB & Cheney?" circus as the PC crowd does everything possible to blame the victims.

Anonymous said...

Anon 12:16:18

That's what I keep hearing. The US got Iran started with its nuke program. That is our way, sell arms, then start a war and destroy them. It is the military industrial complex Ike warned us about. I don't know that I trust Iran not to start a war but I know for sure the US government can't be trusted. The spin machine is on 24-7. I have to read the Iran news just to get some balance. (BS+BS)/2 = truth.

Keith, if that was meant to be funny, it was.

I heard Kristol, Krauthamer, et al talking about attacking Iran long before Ahmadinejad made this remark. I saw Mearsheimer on C-Span today talking about the Israel lobby, especially AIPAC, and their influencing, even bragging about their influence on US foreign policy. The nuts and warmongers are not limited to Iran and Arab states, but we don't have Ahmadinejad's flying monkeys highly placed within Bush admin. shaping policy. Check out David Wurmser, who was involved in the study "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm".
The neocons and shiites are different teams, but playing the same dirty game. Neither side has the best interests of the US at heart, though the neocons are nominally "American".

Uhm, yeah. It's a wise to be afraid of democracy without liberty and justice for all.

The Weimar Republic was also a democracy.

Israelis are afraid of Hamasites murdering them one hour after claiming electoral victory.

Given the serious hate that you can read about in Arabic and Farsi every day, this is not an absurd theoretical concept.

Suppose Pakistan was involuntarily reintegrated into India and the new Hindu majority "Historical India" lead by the hard core faction of BJP decided Muslims had to leave, convert or die?

Are Pakistanis "afraid of democracy"?

You can take any event and twist it into the most complex and ridiculous conspiracy with a thousand tentacles and miss the obvious truth yelling in your face "Jihad will conquer the kouffar (infidels), Jihad will conquer the west". Radical islam has been telling us for years that they mean to kill every infidel who does not convert and will not stop. It is not an msm or cia or mossad conspiracy, you can find evidence of it in saudi arabian, palestinian and lebanese elementary textbooks and on their own media. They have been brainwashed with jew hating and amercan/british hating rhetoric since birth. Do any of you apologists recall the dancing in the street after 9/11? Your Michael Ruppert nutball conspiracy bullshit is rotting your brains the same way nazi propaganda did to otherwise intelligent germans in the 30's.

natural eyebrows, I guess the Iranian people should hate the current rulers of Iran as much as us then by your logic.
the Majli: It was first created by a clause in the 1906 Iranian Constitution and soon gained power under the rule of the Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Noteworthy bills passed by the Majlis under Pahlavi include the Oil Nationalization Bill (March 15, 1951) and the Family Protection Law (1967), which gave women many basic rights such as custody of children in case of divorce. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the Senate was abolished and the National Consultative Assembly (مجلس شورای ملی) became the Islamic Consultative Assembly (مجلس شورای اسلامی). Even though the Majlis has been known to voice opposition to both the Pahlavis and Islamic Republic policies, its power is not as great as that of the legislative bodies in the United States.

Eason Jordan, CNN's Chief News Executive, confirmed that the video used on CNN was in fact shot on Tuesday, 11 September 2001, in East Jerusalem by a Reuters TV crew, not during the Persian Gulf conflict of 1990-91... ... Reuters, the international news agency whose camera crew shot the footage, issued the following statement: "Reuters rejects as utterly baseless an allegation being circulated by e-mail and the Internet claiming that it circulated 10-year-old videotape to illustrate Palestinians celebrating in the wake of the September 11 tragedies in the United States. Reuters welcomes a statement by the Universidad Estatal de Campinas-Brasil (UNICAMP), one of whose students was the author of the original e-mail, setting the record straight. The videotape in question was shot in East Jerusalem by a Reuters camera crew on September 11 in the immediate aftermath of the attacks on the United States. The footage was broadcast by CNN and other subscribers to the Reuters video news service.'"

Prince Hassan: Arab leaders stole billions from their people

Jordanian Prince Hassan Bin Talal levels scathing criticism at Arab leaders during speech delivered in Kyoto conference: 'Arab leaders stole billions of dollars from the Arab people in order to spend them on weapons to fight Israel, which they can never defeat.' Prince warns against Iranian nuclear armament project

Jordanian Prince Hassan Bin Talal, who was the Jordanian heir apparent until Abdullah was crowned as king, launched a sharp verbal attack against the leaders of Arab countries during a Kyoto conference.

"The Arab leaders stole billions of dollars from the Arab people and spent it on weapons to fight Israel, which they will never defeat, instead of using the money for health and education purposes to aid their people," he stated.

Speaking at the world conference of the interfaith group "Religions for Peace", Prince Hassan also attacked the Iranian nuclear development program. Hassan spoke against nuclear armament, especially on Iran's part, and said that it needs to be made sure that the nuclear project in Iran does not reach the stage of nuclear weapons. Former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami was present at the conference.

But some good will come of it. Religion is about to die the same death it died in Europe and for the same reasons. Religion is the best, and possibly only tool, that can be effectively used on the masses to compell people to act against their best interests.

The beautiful thing is that religion's demise is the unintended consequence of the actions of the religious. Adios Dios.
