A time capsule of the greatest financial mania in the history of mankind, told in real-time by regular folks and patriots. May future generations better understand the madness of crowds, and how power and money corrupt.

I don't see much of a moral obligation. In fact, I think the moral imperative is to let the market function as freely as possible rather than to bail out overwhelmed borrowers.
We still have bankrupcy laws, afterall.
p.s. My favorite response to the original post?
Q: How are we going to assist?
A: Soylent green!
hopefully that is a picture of Keith in a year after the housing pop is alot more mild than he hopes, and his AAPL stock goes to zero. Taste it liberal suckas.
My liberal electricity has been off for two days here in Penn's Woods. My conservative gasoline is costing $3.25 a gallon.
The Fed will be under a lot of pressure to lower short-term rates to pump liquidity into the crisis- as Greenspan would have done. This will be especially true as consumer retail spending gets hit big time because the home ATM isn't handing out cash anymore.
All the business folks will be pulling in their political chits to force the interest rate cuts.
And how is this a liberal vs conservative issue? Seems like plenty of folks from both groups have gotten involved in the housing mania. And politicians from both camps have been in on the $$$$.
mustache guy actualy wants to work.
cool.
If they are bailed out, no lesson is learned, and destined to be repeated in a rather short time frame. Really, what hard lesson was learned from NASDAQ going over 5000??? Not a damn thing.
If he wanted to work why isn't he out working instead of standing there holding a little sign?
Remember people; we're not done subsidizing the illegals yet.
Some shall begin to take in foster
kids. Kids that might have otherwise not had a home, but to house a foster child does good for the community and brings in good income...Not me...my home is paid for but those in trouble
Do you expect them to pay, Dr. Evil?!
NO,Noooooooooo Mister Powers, I expect them to die.
We have a moral obligation to kick them in the face, and foreclose on their house.
I warned about this a month ago!
The Federal Home Loan Assistance Corporation. . .like the old S&L Bailout - Resolution Trust. . .wait until all those people are in foreclosure, and the congress will be on CSPAN all night asking to bailout - then the government will monetize the debt, and 15% inflation for sure!!!
The man can always rent out the woman for some tax-free income. If he has adult daughters they can perform on subscription Web sites..maybe no house but some income producing ass-ets...
How about the moral obligation to get me a house?
Maybe David Lereah can write a book on; How to Provide Shelter to the Dumb and Dumber.
15% inflation for sure!!
What like we havent been there before..shit my parents first home was 18% interest..but...on a $14,000 note.
My Parents first house cost 10K the payment was $62 month - let the females work laying down - after all we are civilized now - there are rules covering paid positions.
No need to help out, the defense industry and military will have plenty of "jobs" when the war breaks out in Iran and Syria.
That war has already started we just haven't been called up yet...Perhaps next week Draft notices will be sent out!
I know there are many honest realtors out there, but using the term "Moral obligation" and "Realtor" in the same sentence still smarts for me...
