Just heard a statistic in So Cal. There are 3,000 houses in foreclosure currently. However there are 90,000 at least 1 month late on their mortgage. They will be turning into foreclosures soon. The banks are beginning to get concerned.

Unfortunately, whether people think we should have to pay income taxes or not, there is a thing about setting precedent in this country. Every judge will rule in favor of precedent when it comes to taxes, whether or not it is written as a matter of law.

Let's get a thread going on the topic of "undercollaterization", which I think iswhat happens when houses nearby sell for much less than how much a FB has in loans. Does the bank call in the 2nd HELOC because it is no longer secured by enough property value?
