Yes planes did hit the buildings but they are not what brought the towers down. There are only 3 buildings in history! to be brought down from fire.

Most don't know it bought George Bush's brother Neil Bush was CEO of a security company that was running security for the World Trade leading up to the attacks on 9/11.

Consider: for America to have been responsible, every FBI agent, CIA agent, policeman, fireman, and literally tens thousands of investigators involved would have to have been in on the conspiracy, and for what? To make radical Muslims look bad? Don't they do this themselves every day?

To a previous poster, the Patriot Act was written BY LEGISLATORS after 9/ll, and overwhelmingly approved by Democrats and Republicans.

"Loose Change" is a fraud with very selective footage, and spurious data from start to finish, including claims of a non-existent "missle" hitting the Pentagon.

Now we've seen what really hit: a jet, exactly as the government and HUNDREDS OF EYEWITNESSES said all along. We've also seen that "Loose Change" produces edited news footage by a CNN reporter saying there was no evidence of a plane crashing NEAR the Pentagon. It left out out his comments about the jet that HIT IT DIRECTLY. Even his film footage of parts of the jet on the ground was deleted in the "Loose Change" video. This is called lying. The CNN reporter talked about it Monday and showed the pictures "Loose Change's" producers selectively left out.

The TWO buildings brought down by fire on 9/11 were the only hundred story highrises ever to have been hit directly by jumbo jets filled with fuel flying 400-500 miles an hour. These jets flew INTO the buildings, but did not exit them. The full ignited everything. No secret. No conspiracy.

Keith, I used to think your pictures were funny. These are downright unconscionable. I'm sure the families of the victims will be thrilled to see your mockery, and to know that you support those who claim there were no heros on Flight 93, and that the whole thing was staged by the U.S. and Israel using impersonators to imitate the passengers' voices.

The firefighters who examined the evidence in New York are not part of a conspiracy. Neither are the police officers, the military, the CIA, FBI, Senate, Congress, or Pentagon.

This story, a erroneous one originally from the BBC, was debunked years ago by a number of newspapers and the BBC itself. As usual, the 9/ll crackpots are trapped in old material. They never update anything.

Incidentally, the origin of much of the 9/11 conspiracy, including the false notion that fire cannot bring down towers, is not a scientist, but a "theologian" (translation fantacist) named David Ray Griffin. This man, who has done great harm to a great many innocent people, is no authority, unless quoting biblical passages makes him one.

As to the thread, the previous administration has almost all the credit due for the attacks. The Cole, Kobar Towers, previous attack on the WTC, there was plenty of knowledge of al queda. And the economy has also sufferred from his tenure. Walmart is based in Arkansas. The Dems may have had a good run with the economy due to taxes being great on account of the computer / internet explosion which is one reason the national deby curve lowered the slope for a while. Another was the drastic gutting of the military budget by the Dems.

Get over blaming the current guy and his staff. They are bagholders of problems dumped on them. This war on terror is real. And the enemy knows that we are very weak economically and I bet are planning to try to finish the job.

There is a HUGE difference between an old military prop plane hitting the Empire State Building in days of yore, and a modern passenger jet filled with jet fuel flying at 400 miles an hour into a World Trade Center tower. Did you notice the towers were heavily wrapped in glass, a vast departure from the construction of the Empire State Building? The speed of the impact, the weight of the jet, the presence of jet fuel (far more explosive and flamable than old fashion plane fuel), and the fact that the jet was deliberately flown straight into the building have to be taken into consideration.

As for other myths posted on this thread:

1. It was a JET that hit the Pentagon, and two videos released this week prove it. So does the CNN footage that the conspiracy theorists carefully omitted from their "documentaries." So do the HUNDREDS of eyewitness accounts also ignored by the conspiracy "documentarians."

2. Yes, the entire CIA and FBI (and all the rest) would have to have been in on a conspiracy, since they're doing much of the investigation. Do you think they aren't aware of the conspiracy sites and "documentaries?" That none of them would bother to check them out? Again, why are the rants of a small-time "theologian" taken seriously, while the direct testimony of eyewitnesses and ACTUAL INVESTIGATORS is ignored?

3. Cell phones DO work at high altitudes, if there are cell towers around. I've made cell calls from passenger jets, and I've made cell calls from highrises. I guess the conspiracy nuts who've fallen for the calls-can't-be-made hooey have never been in a passenger jet over or near a major city, or been at the top of highrise.

42,000 dead every year, year after year, due to auto accidents in our country more than half of those deaths due to drunk drivers. But have the rights of drunk drivers been degraded at all, have their phones been tapped? NO. Give your rights to the Bogey Man. My family is at far greater risk of death due to accidntal drowning, or slip-and-falls or any number of dangers. Terrorism does not even rank in the top 100 of my concerns in regards to safety and security.

The hijackers are not alive; this erroneous story was retracted years ago by the very organization that started it, the BBC, and is considered quite funny in Saudi Arabia (some of the terrorists' names are as common there as John Smith is here).

It's one thing to claim there was a conspiracy about 9/11. It's quite another thing that by pushing these baseless theories, you show complete disrespect for the people who died on the planes and in the buildings which include hundreds of police, firefighters,and military personnel; the investigators who surveyed the devastation; the scientists and engineers who have spent their whole careers mastering their professions so that uneducated freaks can discredit their statements; and most of all, the families who are still grieving over the loss of their loved ones. How DARE you tell them that it was a conspiracy.

I agree with you, but the crackpots DO have an explanation: They claim the person on the VIDEOTAPE making the admission and laughing about 9/11 is NOT Bin Laden, but a lookalike hired by the U.S. government. They say he's wearing the wrong ring on the wrong hand, and that his skin tones are off. Maybe they should turn up the bright adjustment on their televisions (it IS Bin Laden). They claim that audiotapes with Bin Laden's voice are also hoaxes.

PCTs (Paranoid Conspiracy Theorists) claim the telephone calls supposedly made by passengers of the planes that crashed in the field and into the Pentagon were faked by CIA agents mimicking their voices (after spending months studying their personal profiles so they could be convincing--even thought they had no physical way of knowing who would be on the flights, but I guess CIA agents are psychics).

PCTs claim there was no fire in building 7 to bring it down, though as you can read above, firemen THERE said there were RAGING fires in building 7, and a twenty story hole caused by concussion, and that they cleared out because they knew the entire building was going to collapse.

PCTs claim that a missile, not a jet, struck the Pentagon, though videos released this week show that it was passenger jet that struck the Pentagon. No missile.

PCTs claim that fire cannot cause tall skyscrapers to collapse, though building 7 was a very tall skyscraper, and DID collapse from fire, and investigators have replicated the collapse of all the affected buildings in laboratory simulations, and without any rigged explosives.

PCTS claim that nine of the alleged hijackers are alive and well: a story first put out by the BBC, but later retracted, because it was not true. This story is still circulating all over the Internet, and in hundreds of newspapers and other publications, despite fairly extensive investigations by major newspapers that have also debunked it.

PCTS claim that military jets, not commercial airliners, struck the World Trade Center, despite eyewitness accounts, videos, and thousands of zoom-in photographs showing two commercial airliners striking the buildings.

PCTs claim the buildings were rigged with explosives by demolition experts, ignoring the fact that in REAL highrise demolitions, support beams, cross beams, and other steel structures have to be cut through beforehand, and that buildings so damaged would have been far too unstable for people to work in. At the World Trade Center, such rigging would have taken months and hundreds of demolition experts and engineers to accomplish, and could not have possibly been done during a blackout, as claimed by PCTs.

PCTs claim phone calls can't be made from passenger jets, but they can.

PCTS claim that the first crash was not televised, yet President Bush mentioned it and said that he'd seen it on television. This, they claim, proves that he had foreknowledge. But, the first crash WAS shown on LIVE television in New York, and rebroadcast throughout the country. I saw both crashes THAT MORNING.

PCTs claim that Condoleezza Rice called Willy Brown, or rather his switchboard, in San Francisco to warn him not to fly that morning, but this is also a yarn. The fact that Willy Brown himself, a liberal Democrat, would have destroyed her with this information had it been true is ignored by PCTs.

PCTS claim that Israel is behind 9/11, though Bin Laden proudly admits that he orchestrated it. PCTS are heavily involved in anti-Semetic propaganda and conspiracy theories started by anti-Semites in the nineteenth century, and repeated so often, PCTs think they're facts. Many also believe that aliens from outer space control our planet, with Jewish help of course, and that there is a group of lizard aliens being sheltered in northwest New Mexico that eats human provided to it by the U.S. government. There are hundreds of Web sites devoted to this stuff, and millions of True Believers. They ignore the fact that this story derives from a 1980s sci-fi television series "V."

There is no way of stopping these terrible gossips from their malicious slander and libel other than legal action, so I hope somebody, ANYBODY, finally takes some against them. Charlie Sheen, Michael Moore, and David Griffin (the "theologian") need to held accountable for the incredible damage they've done to innocent people and their families.
