Ariz. Posse to Round Up Illegal Immigrants
Four Mexican men sit in the dirt with their wrists bound, shoulders hunched and eyes lowered to avoid the glare of the rising sun.
The immigrants had been on their way to build a dairy farm in this town about an hour southwest of Phoenix. But after a traffic stop for a faulty brake light, members of a sheriff's task force targeting human and drug smugglers found they were not U.S. citizens. Now they were bound for federal custody.
Beginning Wednesday, more illegal immigrants coming through Maricopa County could meet the same fate as the sheriff's department beefs up its efforts to find illegal immigrants.
The sheriff's office began arresting illegal immigrants under that interpretation in March, and with the new posse, will continue doing so by patrolling desert areas and main roadways in the southwestern part of the county.
"I'm going to catch as many as I can and throw them in my jail," said Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "And the jails are not that nice."

A friend of mine told me the other day: He will vote for the presidential candidate that promises to enforce our laws, be he democrat, republican, communist, libertarian, etc.
I am with him. I also suggest we come up with a national "business card" protest campaign. Business cards that say "Voy Votar Contra Ustedes" (I am going to vote against you), with an "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS: GO HOME" Banner. We can then, when buying coffee at the local illegal immigrant cafe, hand them out when we get our change...to the cashier, with a nice glowering stare...what do you think? Please come up with some business card sized artwork (scaled) for us to cut and paste..I KNOW you can do it!!

Okay, Phoenix is finally trying something (don't worry the ACLU will stop this soon), but in general this country is handling the illegals problem all wrong.
Since the illegals seem to think this country is a free for all (for THEM), I say that anyone of us legal US citizens who goes down to the border and catches one of them, gets to keep him/her as his personal slave for life.
OR, we could just all round them up in the dark of the night and ship them off to be processed for transplant-able body parts that so many of the hard working tax-paying legal US citizens are in need of or may need in the future.

I think this blog needs to focus on housing not immigration. Immigration is a very devisive issue. We defeated fascism 65 years ago. More then 50 millions died. I was born in Europe(Russia) when there were many people who fought that fight. It took a terrible toll on all countries. Not all people who are against illegals are racists but there is a very strong racist sentiment in immigrant bashers. I think the hatred that they fuel can get out of control and hurt this country more than housing bubble or weak dollar.

for someone who just went through the process (yes, process) of moving to a foreign country for work (me - england), and now someone who sees first hand how many people over here would love to live and work in the US, it pisses me off to no end to see these tens of millions from Mexico cheat the system and just barge on in.
There are millions who want to come to the US, possibly hundreds of millions, around the world.
Being the US we need to have an orderly process for immigration, not anarchy.
We then should select the best and the brightest from around the world. We should select those without criminal records. And we should select those that are leaving oppressive governments and countries (the yearning to be free)

So first step is ship home any illegal. Second step is make it a federal crime to hire an illegal. Third step is liberalize the immigration process to allow more in annually.
