After struggling much of his adult life with unemployment, homelessness and drug addiction, Johnny Moon Sr. died last year on a dirty mattress on the floor of a small home near Tampa's College Hill district.
Moon, who looked far older than his 56 years, died of pneumonia brought on by malnutrition. He left behind a watch, a flashlight and a wallet containing a solitary dollar bill.
And more than a half-million dollars worth of real estate.
Evidence mounting since Moon's death suggests he may have been the latest straw man used in what the FBI says is a national epidemic of mortgage fraud.

How are the Democrats going to lose in '06 or '08 when every legal hispanic in this country will be lining up to vote for them? By 2020 this will be the United States of Mexico and the politicos will be sucking up all the way.
As for the story about the homeless investor... Welcome To Florida! Investor fraud is rampant here. I suspect, in another year or so, we will be reading stories like this one on a daily basis. Realtor and appraiser fraud are a plague here as well. I'm not sure what the most revolting thing about this story is, that this guy was used by his own son and was left to die from malnutrition or that he was given 60 days in jail for lifting $26.00 worth of crap from Publix.
He HAD a good realtor(r) that told him to Buy...Buy...Buy Now...before IT was TOO Late !
I believe bums have nice thick hair because they have no stress. What the hell do they care if there's a recession or rates go up or a plane flies into thw WTC? Just move to the West Coast or Florida and enjoy the nice weather
