Question for HP readers: When will the bombs hit Iran?

Get on record now. When will the first bombs hit (from Israel, or US, or UK, or ...)?

'Cause we all know it's gonna play out that way.

My prediction: June 13, 2006. And my money is on Israel doing the job themselves.

We'll be in full bubble meltdown by then too, complicating matters as they would say

10 year note is breaking out!

Mortgage rates will be highest in several years soon, right when most people are putting their homes on the market in the spring. Ouch!

I would have to say you are 3 months off on your date, The bourse starts selling in march, there is no way bush and his cronies are going to let the bourse gather to many gains. So march is the deadline for the attack for sure. (pure speculation of course)

Within 30 days.

There are 80,000 Russian, 140,000 American, and not sure how many Israeli troops concentrated along the Iranian border.

You heard it here first.

I agree it will be Israel that does the precision strikes.

I am certain of a couple of things:

1)There is a housing bubble that has started bursting in metropolitan Phoenix.

2)Radical islamists bent on destruction should be bombed into oblivion.

Put me down for March 2007 on Iran, assuming that other measures do not settle the matter.

First the Taliban
Second Iraq
Third Iran
Forth North Korea
Fifth?

Listen folks, the world is going to become a shaky place. This dirty work must be done … I believe a majority of American’s understand this. If the dem’s want to win in 08, they had better nominate an absolute hawk; otherwise it’ll be another 51-49 loss.

I think it will happen near term end so they can insure keeping the same regime or implementing martial law. I'll take October 07. They will have to print a bunch of money for this one. With $15 gas and $1000 gold these real estate prices may make sense.

Cheney is waiting for a "terrorist" attack before launching a war with Iran. My guess is a "dirty bomb" will blow up some time in the near future, tied to al qaeda, probably in a smaller city like Miami or San Diego.
If Cheney takes scooter libby out to Wyoming for a hunting trip soon, you'll know the end game is near. Watch out SCOOTER!!!!!

Isn't oil easier to find if it were under glass? Nuke the whole middle east up and turn it into glass.

I agree the only sad part about that statement is, the actual "dirty bomb' will have been done by our own goverment, such as the 9/11 incidents/coverups. Funny you have all these terroist living in caves somewhere in the pakistan mountain range with all this great quality video gear, do you think they have cable and plasma tv's also.

Who is kidding who here

Cheyney clearly isn't a "straight shooter"

Doesn't Cheney's plan to retaliate against Iran regardeless of the perpetrator of any future terrorist attack against the US give any group that wants to see Iran taken out the incentive to attack the US? Would he attack Iran if another Tim McVeigh attacked the US? (Probably)

Iran is probably 8 years away from having a workable nuclear weapon. I got that figure from a friend who is a physicist and a nuclear nonproliferation expert. You'll never here that figure coming out of the White House though. I'll vote March '06 for an attack on Iran.

If Euro governments truly felt Iraq was a mistake, and that Iran would also be a mistake, they would/ought be doing something about it.

As long as americans get get dollar burger and dollar fries in Mac/BK, they do not care what happens in other parts of the world. Also they are too short sighted and blindly believe in politicians as far as foreign policy is concerned. In the long term they americans will realise this but it will be too late and China and India may be the next super powers in the world. And If Israel drops bomb in Tehran then what will happen to Israel's existence if Iran bombs the shit out of Israel's existence? Just think before act!

It's informative for me to see that we don't know each other and we make asumptions about each other based on fear.

So, is it black, white or grey? Do we lump everyone into the same category or are we diverse? Are some desperate in good times while others prosper in bad? Does the economy hinge on mass perception of rational exuberance or irrational pessimisms? Are there nice people in Iran? Were there nice people in Hiroshima or Nagasaki? People just like you and me? Or are they all a bunch of shotgun toting good ole boys? Do they shoot little birds and their hunting companions because they have too much free time. How much free time would you give yourself in the present condition of the country if you were responsible for the security and well being of 295,734,134 people? Actions speak volumes over words. How can I respect someone’s decisions affecting the lives of 295,734,134 people who can’t even manage a shotgun in a secure area?

Bite me! cant handle the truth cause your great president bush is sending this country down the tubes. But in reality I feel for you cause it must me mind numbing going thru life with tunnel vision and a one track mind. But then again you are intitled to your opinion, when you get a chance watch this http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023320890224991194&q=loose+change,then make your own decision, but then again you are a bush lover so it probally would not matter anyway. Well off to my strait jacket its passed my meds time.

So it's easy to preach love and peace, but Iran is really forcing the issue. A nuclear Iran is a lot different from a nuclear Russia or China or even Pakistan (as long as Musharfaf is around). The leader of Iran doesn't have the same misgivings about starting a nuclear exchange as other countries do because of the whole martyr deal.

The irony here is that Israel is a tiny country and the Palestinians are right next to ground zero. They are going to eat it either directly or through the radioactive fallout in the case of a nuclear exchange. So Iran is really not doing the Palestinians any favors if they intend to carry through on some nuclear blackmail.
